It’s about time Congress finally did something to help the 99%. Because trickle down has never worked and never will work. I’ll take Biden’s pig ANY day over what the nothing solutions the GOP has put forth.
The one thing that would’ve affected the billionaires… That’s the “carried-over interest tax“… Got removed from the bill so Manchin would vote for it. Once again, it’s always the middle class that gets screwed.
The Inflation Reduction Act aims to curb inflation by reducing the deficit, lowering prescription drug prices, and investing into domestic energy production while promoting clean energy solutions. The law will raise $737 billion and authorize $369 billion in spending on energy and climate change, $300 billion in deficit reduction, three years of Affordable Care Act subsidies, prescription drug reform to lower prices, and tax reform. According to several independent analyses which used different models based on different assumptions, the law is projected to lead to a net greenhouse gas emissions reduction of 40% below 2005 levels by 2030.
Republicans hate government spending. Except, of course, when they’re the recipients of it. This is why Republicans ALWAYS drive up the deficit and debt when in charge.
Hey Mr. Ramirez, I get that you (mistakenly) think the CONservatives have a better plan. But your illustration kinda confuses the point when you make that big ol’ hawg look like it’s just 3 popped collars away from being Steve Bannon. ……………(Seriously though, I do admire your artwork ! That’s what keeps me coming back.)
This comic is a perfect metaphor for Inflation Reduction Act. It does NOTHING for inflation and will actually help to keep that fire burning as it’s more wasteful spending. People’s concerns are inflation, high gas prices, high grocery prices, recession, surging crime in DEMOCRATIC run cities, and the southern border. This law does NOTHING for any of those. Way to address the problems Americ cares about, leftist loons.

Always a shame to see Ramirez’ skill and cleverness wasted on GOP regressive talking points.

It can’t be said enough:
Democrats want tax increases for the wealthiest Americans.
Republicans want tax increases for the poorest Americans.

Perhaps a cure for Ramirez’s ridiculous cartoon would be for him to hand-copy the entire piece of legislation ( which he apparently has not read ).
