Last I checked, we outspend Russia, China & the next 10 or 20 largest nations in military funding combined. We have the ability to project massive conventional military force anywhere in the world, including on their doorsteps. They aren’t even close to that ability, but in the nuclear era, invading a nuclear peer isn’t a worthwhile endeavor.

I have no idea what Ramirez has those guys standing on, but it bears no resemblance to a modern fighting ship.

Ramirez exceeds himself in polishing the dumbest cartoon ever. Maybe he should take some time and study how American military is superior to both Russia and China. But then, facts don’t really matter to conservatives.

Do you understand the kind of trust and comradeship that builds among our servicemembers?

That is true “woke”. Knowing that your buddy will have your back, no matter what. White, black, brown, Asian, Islander, LGBTQ, Catholic, Baptist, Jew, Muslim, male/female/trans whatever.

Like it or not the military has always been “woke” in the most important of ways. Trust.

Not sure why we need to “completely dominate” any country. But if Ukraine can stymie Russia I think we have a shot at it too. Wouldn’t it be nice if we put as much effort into medical research to defend ourselves as we do in arms.

Actually we do have a better military than any other country. No doubt about that.

Is Ramirez implying that our armed forces couldn’t beat the Russians? The same Russians that after almost 6 months still are getting beat back by the Ukrainians, the folks they said would be a two week job??

The largesse going to military industrial complex is really the only things Democrats, Republicans (in office) agree about. When was the last time that the Defense budget was actually scrutinized? They literally add more billions that the Pentagon didn’t even ask for.

Sorry, but you’re wrong. What we have is a disillusioned military who can’t, for the first time in a long time, get recruits. No one wants to work for a president who hates America and wouldn’t back them up if push came to shove. That’s the point here, even if you won’t address it.

We have a stronger conventional force, by far, considering equipment and training. The only exception is North Korea. Their force is just as strong as ours, but 1/4 the size (probably actually less). When you start adding nuclear to the equation, it becomes a moot point, because we can kill everyone and everything on earth several times over and so can Russia and probably China. Once you kill everyone once the rest of the weapons become kinda irrelevant.

The military exists to keep Americans free for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Ramirez exists because he hates all those things.

What is the point of “completely dominating Russia and China militarily” anyway? Is this meant to imply that the USA should become an empire, dominating the lives of all others? What defines such dominance? This is not a very useful point to make in the modern world, because most peoples (eg., Ukrainians or Vietnamese) have no interest in being subservient to anyone else.

You don’t read the news much, do you. US munitions and technology is decimating the Russians in the hands of troops who are barely trained to use them. What will happen to Russian forces if they came up against well trained US forces? Besides the Ukrainians just made Russia a military power on par with Pakistan.

The Chinese haven’t fought a war since the 70’s against Viet Nam. It did not go well for them. They have a huge navy, but China hasn’t fought a significant naval battle in hundreds of years.

US forces are well armed, well trained and experienced. The Chinese may think they have us over a barrel, but I wouldn’t put money on it.

I think both the Russians and the Chinese are banking on Republicans destroying our democracy so that they can march on. I’m sure they will thank you for doing your part in that.

So, this is how Republicans support the troops? Oh right, of course it is.

The military doesn’t need monsters like the Russians prefer in theirs. Which, BTW, is a lot of the reason they will lose. People will fight monsters much harder than they will fight people that are not monsters. That’s how George Washington got a lot of Red Coats to join the revolution. He treated them well and did not torture anyone. It’s amazing how much better the information you get when you Don’t torture people.

While the Right childishly tries to turn “woke” into an insult, actually “woke” people are paying attention to the ways different people experience our society.

@Ramireztoons…so which side are you going to stand with if the USA gets into a skirmish, a battle or a war with Russia or China? While I’ve never had the honor of serving my country (F4 and peace during my prime years) I know which side I will be on, for both loyalty to country and for which side is going to win!

And yes, some of those in the armed services, who will be using their intelligence, their creativity and their bravery will be women, some may be tran or some other part of the LGTBQIA rainbow; and it shouldn’t matter their gender or their sexual preference (as long as their partner is of age, mind and willing).

What matters is…CAN they do the job? WILL they do the job?

When you have no good ideas for a comic, just pull out the tired “Woke” theme.
