To shinny up the date tree is such a nuisance, and absolutely ruins her nylons.

I have to say ‘OUCH’ for Alvin.

Poor Alvin, the back up guy, but that does not seem to always be so.

I had such high hopes — when an Emmy Lou strip appeared on August 1st — that we’d continue on into this month, without interruption.

Hopefully, there won’t be a long wait for the next batch of EL strips .. I always enjoy them..!

Emmy Lou reminded me of my teenage babysitter: Skinny as a rail, and a wit that gave splinters. I’d say, “and with a good heart,” but she had a heart problem she had an operation for that eventually caused her early death. Hello, Ruth … I loved you with the pure naivete of a seven-year-old boy.

Alvin was a bench warmer who sometimes got called up!

It is getting close to 2 months now without a new one. I don’t really care ; I read them when they are here and when they aren’t here I move on. This must be some kind of a record , though.

Emmy Lou hasn’t updated in nearly 2 months and Motley classics hasn’t updated since May. I will have to give up and remove them from my queue.

Approaching the two month anniversary of no comic.

I really was hoping that they would restart on 10/1. Sigh.
