So, we are to conclude that “some states” are forcing abortions? Right! The states can now override private decisions. Which ones limit how many children to have like China? SNARK!
Providing choice is always the best option. What conservatives have done is deprived SOME women of their right to autonomy. You’ve only removed safe abortions and sentenced low income women to suffer. Women with money will ALWAYS be able to get an abortion.
You made America less free and turned women into a substandard class in this country.
No one in the United States has ever been legally forced to have an abortion. Instead, women are forced to not have an abortion. Which side is for freedom?
In Poland Doctors regularly deny chemo to pregnant cancer patients because of the stringent laws regarding harming a fetus. The mind quails at similar results headed to a red state near you.
So, if I understand those that are saying that it is being left to the states, they think it is OK for the religious beliefs of some to override those of the citizens of the state that don’t believe that set of beliefs? This is dangerous. One of the major roles of government is to protect the rights of its citizens and, in essence, those that don’t believe become for all practical purposes “stateless” as there is no one left to protect their rights. This is what happened to Eastern Europe with the Nazis and Soviets – people became stateless and therefore were persecuted and in many instances, imprisoned or murdered. And having neighbors inform on neighbors as Texas is allowing is something totalitarian states used to enforce their will on the persecuted. It makes me despair what is happening in our country.
Gorrell who doesn’t spend more than 9 minutes on a cartoon, thinks forcing someone to be pregnant for 9 months is fine.
For a party who claims to care about life, they seem to check out the minute the baby is born. Sorry about that hospital bill, but medicare for all would be ‘socialist’ oh and see you back at work tomorrow, the United States doesn’t have paid family leave. I’m not going to give you a raise but feel free to get a 2nd job to afford someone to look after your child while you are working. Don’t worry though in a few years they can go to school where you can worry about them being murdered by a mass shooter.

Basically comes from SCOTUS deciding that some states did NOT need to be overseen w.r.t. voting rights.

The rights of women’s reproductive health is void in some states. Some have lost control over their own genitalia.

Republicans. The party moved by the plight unborn life and can’t be moved by the slaughter of children in their class rooms.
