Tell us Tim; at what age did you make the difficult decision to live as a straight male rather than indulging in the seductive pleasures of transsexualism and the resulting athletic stardom?
George Takei: ‘The Texas GOP is practicing fascism’
George Takei is calling out the Texas Republican Party for labeling homosexuality “abnormal,” saying the move reeks of “neo-fascist dehumanization.”
The “Star Trek” actor, who married husband Brad Takei in 2008, changed his Twitter profile this week after Republicans in the Lone Star state adopted a new platform over the weekend that referred to homosexuality as “an abnormal lifestyle choice.”
“We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin,” the document containing the party’s new guiding principles stated.
“I am an abnormal lifestyle choice,” Takei wrote on his profile, saying the bio change came “in honor of the Texas GOP.”
The 85-year-old performer, a fierce critic of former President Trump, wrote to his 3.4 million followers this week: “We must see the labeling of homosexuality ‘an abnormal lifestyle choice’ by the Texas GOP’s platform for what it is: neo-fascist dehumanization.”
“Fascists target vulnerable minority groups and seek to galvanize public hate against them,” wrote Takei, who was sent to a World War II-era Japanese internment camp when he was 5-years-old.
“The Texas GOP is practicing fascism,” Takei said.
Takei suggested that every Republican candidate running for office this year should be asked where they stand on the state Republican Party’s platform.
“The abnormal lifestyle choice here is being a hate-filled, radical MAGA,” he said, a reference to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” 2016 presidential campaign slogan.
Given the frequency and venom with which parents inflict violence and verbal assault at referees and coaches, and all the expensive sports clinics and camps that claim to give kids a competitive advantage that parents push their children into, this cartoon SHOULD be seen as an indictment of the parent. After all, how many videos have you seen about children assaulting their coaches or refs?
I’m sure, though that this was unintentional on Mr. Campbell’s part. He was only trying to create division and discrimination, but somehow managed to impart real truth.
Something I read in a scientific journal in the 90s said that overpopulation for the resources available brough increased counter population behaviors, including increased violence and same sex matings in animal populations.
Only RWNJ would argue that someone would argue that someone would go through the transgender thing just to win a trophy in a sport. That would be a level of commitment way beyond pathological.
maybe not quite as damaging as the gender altering/confusion (mental illness) caused by constant msMedia/Rainbow grooming etc. ?and not 11 year olds have Campbell on their ’reading list" ! chill.
Since there are no prolife Republicans, they don’t care about how many children commit suicide for any number of reasons. They believe profits and guns are more valuable than human lives in general.
@DrDon1: “Does Campbell realize how damaging his cartoon is to the mental health of many children?”
Many children? How many “children” do you expect will be reading this cartoon? (And how do you define “children”? Is it a particular age range? Many authorities class anyone under 18 as “children”, but I observe that there are great differences between, e.g., 16 and 6.)
The rules being implemented for sports eligibility are inconsistent, and even contradictory, and mostly reflect prejudice, especially where “gender” is involved.
E.g., while participants in most sports can be banned for taking “performance enhancing” drugs (not including caffeine), women (and only women) are being banned in some cases for not taking drugs… to limit their naturally occurring testosterone.
So why not use a “testosterone test” for transgender “women”, too?
And why not also ban men from participating if their testosterone is significantly above “normal”?
For that matter, why don’t they ban individuals — man or woman — in track and field, if their legs are significantly longer than “normal”? Or at least make them participate in different “classes” according to leg length, the way wrestling and weight lifting have different weight categories?
Is it possible as a political cartoonist – he is mocking the entire discussion of gender identification? At my age I’ve seen and known lots of people. Straight, gay, lesbian, odd, strange, trans – you name it. Remember those kids in school you knew were different than you or the same but you didn’t know why? Almost all of them grew up figured it out and lived their lives – good or bad. I wonder if all societies are going through this idiocy our country is in at some point. As a former teacher all I can say is no 8 year old or 12 year old knows what they are. Leave them alone. stop the harassment by the “good” kids who go to church. They’ll turn out Ok – or they won’t – hetero- homo – LGBTQ who cares – it’s their life not yours.
No to mention that in certain societies past and present, men have wives and families and have homosexual relationships with other men. Freud was particularly intrigued by how fellow Austrians in straight-laced 19th-century Vienna could be turned on by virtually anything. Sexuality is not a binary phenomenon.

It’s not like LBGTQ+ folks are screaming about straight people being groomed. Gender identity is a choice all people should have.
Now, about folks being groomed to be Turd Reich a-holes…
