Increased domestic infants today means those (who survive) get to be more cannon fodder for the endless American wars of tomorrow.

The biggest producer of baby formula in the U.S. was forced to close its factory after numerous health violations were found including bacterial contamination of the product. It is supposed to re-open within a few weeks after corrective measures have been taken.

I read a few countries are shipping formula to America! Sounds like WE are the third world country….but due to the massive recall, and the port delays, it all came to a head…..Oy

So the Republicans voted against a bill yesterday that would ensure baby formula amid a shortage. So confused. So they want to protect the unborn baby but then let it die once it’s born???

Abortion is not about caring about babies. It certainly has nothing to do with the medical and emotional needs of the pregnant woman.

Republicans are always against anything that could help bring children out of poverty. Need proof? Look at all the Republicans and Manchin against extending the child tax credit. Most of them have large amounts of child poverty in their states. The anti choice mind, cares nothing about babies or children. It’s all about control of others.

“As a septuagenarian I don’t often think of baby formula, but I received the following email this morning that a lady in our neighborhood sent to the neighborhood email list:

This morning we had baby formula delivered to our address but under the name of David Alden. I noticed they were not on the list. And consider the baby formula issue I am imagining this is needed. I will call the company that sent it but does anyone know this name?"

And her follow-up received later this AM:

“I called the company and it was a free sample and coupons. So unless anyone here needs it I will donate it elsewhere.”

My Follow-up

I’d suggested she donate it to the food bank here in town – but I also asked the name of the company.

Her response:

“Good idea to donate to the food bank i will. Interesting story. Its similac Abbott nutrition When you call the number the first thing it says there is false information in the media saying we are giving free sample not true. Well it ends up with the person i was talking to that this was a free sample! Thanks for the suggestion.”

So, is this a REAL crisis, or just another of the ilk – gas crisis (with tankers offshore), or when coffee became scarce, but the price went through the roof, or . . .?
