As a cart-herder myself, I too find it annoying that people leave carts far away from the store’s property. I know some people have to rush to the bus stop, but can’t you at least plan accordingly and put the cart into a corral?
Yes, Dill, there is an evil person doing violence to shopping carts living in your neighborhood.
That is very much what the jury will want to know; and the defense will argue, “Well, that’s what you do with ’em”.

Dill is looking out for the herd :)
Touch nothing. I want the forensics team on this right away! :)
As a cart herder a life time or two ago, my pet peeve was the wobble wheel on the bottom of the cart. Guess who always got the cart years later?
CSI (Cart Scene Investigation)
A very sad and poignant Cul de Sac, today. A little bit of Dills innocence is striped harshly away as he stumbles upon evidence of humanity’s cruelty.
Go get Petey – him and his numerous neurotic psychosis will be utterly useless in helping get the cart out.
Too many irresponsible varmints in our community who take carts off of the property and leave them at the closest drainage area.
Uh-oh! Was there a rogue cartherd involved in this dastardly crime? Can Dill and Lady Alice make right the wrong that was done?
Stay ’tooned for further CSI: Cul de Sac episodes!
That looks like a ha-ha.
