The only organized baseball teams I’ve seen which were boy/girl, were very young kids playing T-Ball. Even slow pitch softball teams are sex segregated (at least where I live). Imagine Lucy trying to ‘cut it’ on an all girl team with 8 other ‘Peppermint Patty’ types as teammates.

“You and me and baby makes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 times 44 is 660!”

What they’re counting on, is that the other team can’t hit the ball if they’re doubled over, laughing.

Probably landed six feet behind her. But naturally Lucy would treat every ball that goes over her head as a home run.

Actually, best way to beat Charlie Brown’s team is to try and hit it to the field Lucy is playing. Pretty much turns any hit into a homer.

I saw Corey Kluber pitch a rehab game for the Columbus Clippers, the then Indians AAA team. One guy hit a homer so hard off him the outfielder didn’t budge or even look!
