There are actual tornado chasers. Don’t know about the catch and release part of their job.
That would imply actually catching one first. The ones in PA haven’t been cooperating yet on their part.
On an episode of “Eerie, Indiana”, Pecos Bill is dislodged from a giant tornado and the town is threatened until he can get back on.
