Battery powered missiles won’t work any better than those solar powered pistols I tried to invent in elemenary school. You still need to shoot something out the other end to make the thing work.

At least the missile won’t need an explosive warhead. The lithium batteries are flammable enough to destroy the target.

Perhaps a Battery Ram would do the trick?

The enemy will fire back with a solid rocket missile with range of several thousand miles. Also it will be more cost effective. You really don’t need to go green, if the intent is to blow something up in the first place.

Electric vehicles are not the way to go. They will never have the same range, power, or convenience of internal combustion. Alternatives we need to look into past refined petroleum…alcohol..hydrogen..or something else….needs to be developed.

Dr. Mel has forgotten where he is—out where greenhouse gases aren’t an issue. Insanity, however, is a big issue here.

It will catch them by surprise!!

By the time it gets there, they will have forgotten all about it.

Has anybody added up the copper requirements and associated mining costs of “chargering” the whole world?

Make no mistake, I do support efforts to protect the environment. We do still intend our descendants to live here. It just seems like a more efficient hybrid engine is the short term answer rather than “chargering” the world. It was an honest question.

Space is a vacuum. There is no friction. Once something starts moving, it keeps moving. Indefinitely, or until it hits something else.

I might see a flaw or two with that plan, but it’s a good way to spend a lot of taxpayer money.

Battery-powered missile? How does work? With a propeller in outer space?

Reminds me of the Nike Missile System. The computer controlling the missile has to be located between the launch area and the target. It didn’t last long before it was obsolete, but not before spawning many new housing communities.

If the gas powered missile has a 15 gallon tank and gets 20 miles to the gallon, it also needs to refuel at 300 miles.

How does a battery powered missile even work? Ion Propulsion would work in space, but does not have enough thrust to push the projectile into space.
