I used to love to color in a coloring book.

Nothing wrong in an adult coloring. Go on, enjoy it, Earl. :-)

Earl found his inner child. Coloring is very zen and relaxing.

Best part of coloring is eating the crayons.

Children lack perseverance, that will come later… but not for all. ;-)

Keep it in the lines, Earl!

I used to do that with my kids when they were little!

If Earl had been coloring just by himself he would have likely been at a table and in a chair.

Good to practice Hand and Eye coordination at any age ;-)

It calm the nerves…..

My wife colors. She has boxes of pencils, pens and water colors. It’s what she does to relax when she can’t garden.

Every few years I buy a box of crayons for the smell, and the color.

Nelson left to go play video games.

Oh yeah. And get the old snout down on the paper to enjoy the aroma.

First grade, we all got a box of Crayolas and a brand new pencil. Fat crayons with a flat side to keep them from rolling. In a box with a cover that fit on top. One of the few good memories I have of school. My teacher was ancient, she sold sandwiches at Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

I wouldn’t be able to lay on the floor like that and color. Can we take it to the table please??

The best thing about coloring when you’re an adult, – especially, a grandparent – is you don’t have to _stay within the lines!!

If he was there…… you’d be using that WHITE crayon – Yes, I remember..!!!! (LOL)

Nelson will definitely be a participant in the activity at some point – his help will be needed to get Earl up from the floor.

My wife does a similar thing as Nelson. It usually starts with “Can you help me with _____?” And then I end up doing _____ while she goes off somewhere else to do something completely unrelated to ______

I have my own coloring book and 72 colored pencils I get out with the grand babies….

and whenever other time I feel like it.

They sell books at Walmart Earl for adults. Give Nelson back his book.

Earl just needs to relax and enjoy indulging his inner child — it’s what really keeps you young. No excuses required.

Coloring with my kids was pretty fun. Could not do it well as a child.
