As soon as I see someone throw out the name, “George Soros,” I know we are truly in the la-la-la cult extremist wacko zone. George Soros a Marxist?

George Soros came to the U.S. at age 15 as a Holocaust survivor with NOTHING and became a multi-billionaire INVESTMENT CAPITALIST. He comes as close as anything to representing a self-made CAPITALIST success story. He played your game and beat you at it.

Soros’ real crime? He had the NERVE to remember where he came from and seek to retain a system that helps those with less advantage, so as a result, this most successful INVESTMENT CAPITALIST gets labelled as a communist.

The difference between George Soros and the Koch brothers, Walton heirs, Mercer heirs, Mitt R-money, DeVos family, Steve Forbes, Bush family, and of course Donald Trump and his kids is that NONE OF THEM got rich by working hard — they inherited everything from Daddy.

SOROS is the only TRUE CAPITALIST among them. The rich elite TrumpubliCONs, who support tax giveaways for the few richest elites and massive corporate welfare, want SOCIALISM FOR THE RICH, and brutal market capitalism for everyone else.

If you support corporate Republican socialists and spit in the face of a true SELF-MADE CAPITALIST, then YOU ARE THE MARXIST.

Great strip, Steve. Some of these commenters are unbelievable. Facts are facts.

The RW media is pushing this nonsense because Soros is contributing to DAs that are looking for reform the judicial and prison systems. Under the cry of “tough on crime”, politicians passed laws like “three-strike” which resulted in people going to prison for life for repeated shoplifting or other minor offenses. Many laws were passed with racial overtones – crack getting sentences FAR longer than cocaine. Marijuana laws were established to discriminate against Mexicans, blacks and Vietnam protestors (BTW, cannabis was common in meds in U.S. in early 1900s, but was demonized as marihuana to persecute Mexicans). Plea bargaining has been twisted so badly that people plead guilty even if they didn’t do the crime because they are threatened with ridiculous sentences if they go to trial.

FAR too often the result in court is based more on how much you can spend on a lawyer than the actual facts of the case. The case load for public defenders is ridiculous, hopefully the DAs can press for more lawyers and drug reforms result in fewer cases.
