Cheap, tossaway explanation which doesn’t explain Tracy’s little Boo Boo but it’ll have to do. Foolish to expect more.

Good morning™, ex killers and flat faces !

The updated Bones actually looks more presentable than his younger scruffy self but he probably wasn’t doing contract killing yet. Tracy’s chin is way too w-i-d-e.

    Good morning™, everyone!

Well, he’s suspected of at least two other deaths, but he won’t be punished for any of them now. So, Tracy wore his vest as a precaution, even though he expected to be meeting up with Blackjack. That would explain why he had the vest on while he was on his way home. The explanation works for me.

How about letting us know Blackjack’s fate?

Bones’ DUI arrest reminds me of Copshop, a movie that came out last fall. In the movie, Gerard Butler plays a contract killer who gets arrested for a DUI so he can get into the jail cell of a mob stoolie and kill him. I wonder if Bones had the same idea.

And I would think Tracy cared enough about Blackjack to try and learn what happened to him even after the death of Bones. But it seems like Tracy could care less at this point.

“LATER THAT EVENING, AS TRACY DRIVES HOME FROM WORK WITH THE RADIO ON”: Alright listeners, that was Gordon Lightfoot with The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald….now for something a little more upbeat to lift your spirits… here’s CHUMBAWUMBA!

(Cue close up as Tracy pulls to the side of the road and a tear rolls down his cheek. Looking out the passenger side window he spots an elderly American Indian on the opposite side of the guardrail, a tear rolling down his own cheek as he picks up random pieces of litter)

    ;)

Ok, so some good news for y’all…seems that it depends on which meds I take when that leads to a good nights sleep. When I get up in the morning I take zinc, vitamin c, vitamin d, 3 ibuprofen and the “DM” cough syrup…I dont regularly use the inhaler in the morning. Took everything yesterday and brought the inhaler with me to the funeral service which lasted from about 9am til almost noon…only Mike, me, his two sisters, two nephews and his brother-in-law were there in addition to his uncle. Everything wrapped up around 3pm and his one sister came over from Long Island and rode with me and Mike, so when we got home around 4 pm we decided to get an early dinner since we hadn’t eaten all day (his other sister and her husband both got hit with the rona too and couldn’t attend)…after we ate I got home, put my pj’s on, and took my meds…when I went to sleep around 10:30ish, I took my final dose of ibuprofen, vicks, aspercreme for my shoulders, and cough syrup, plus a shot from my inhaler…only woke up once during the night, sat on the edge of my bed for a minute to calm my breathing, then woke up around 8am feeling absolutely fantastic! No shortness of breath, no pain, able to take a deep breath without hesitation…so I took my “regimen” again this morning and hope it lasts all day while I’m working

Oh, and as far as Walmart goes…they must not have known when I was coming back (even tho I gave them the doctors note clearing me to return) so I’m not on the schedule this week or next, but since I failed the “employee health assessment” on Sunday that we have to take…I stayed home and will get paid…went in Monday and that was when I realized the schedule thing…my shift from 2-11 was available on Wednesday so I took it, and 2-10 was available for Thursday so I took that too…yesterday’s shift wasnt available but I called out for bereavement anyway, so if I’m right then I’ll be getting 39 hours pay for this week instead of nothing lol

Perhaps Blackjack did get away and will turn up when needed for another storyline…could be in a Tracyville paralell universe for now….Nah, but he could reappear later. Anything’s possible. Anyway I hope he’s okay somewhere.

Does the media in Tracy land have this story by now. No, don’t cut to the Apparatus…they’ll throw shoes and coffee mugs at their flat screen tv’s on hearing this. They might put a contract out on Ace of Spades, only difference is the person who gets the assignment comes from in-house.

The stories in this strip does confirm what I posted months ago…they just don’t make villains like they used to. Dick Tracy, the comic strip, is starting to resemble a soap opera.

1-DT: I still can’t sit down from that surfing accident at Malaboo on January 24th.

SAM: (snark) I forgot about that. I just thought you let the door hit you in the ass when somebody told you to be get lost.

2-DT: Look – here’s more info on that guy who tried to kill me. I wonder why he doesn’t go by “Dick”? I like “Dick”. “Dick” works for me. I’ve known a lot of “Dicks” in my life and every one has been great. How about you, Sam? Do you prefer “Dick” or…

3-SAM: ARRRRGHHH! WILL YOU LISTEN TO YOURSELF?!?!

DT: What? Can’t you just picture him had he not been so formal. A cute little smile? A good-guy white gun? He would’ve played for the other team had he picked Dick instead of…

SAM: SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!!

Nice “mug shots” in Panel 2.Junior would have torn that disguise to ribbons in 2 minutes flat.

Blackjack’s O.K.—-he’s just off somewhere licking his wounds(no matter how unsanitary it sounds).

LMAO why does someone read a comic and get all worked up over the story not being plausible. Well sherlock see its a comic. Things happen. There is no real super heroes either. See the story is controlled by the writer…gasp…your free to leave and stop whining. Bye now

Those wondering about Blackjack: He’s been moved to an alternate Earth, either Earth – DC or Earth -616 to heal @ STAR Labs or Healers Grove on Earth-616. He’ll be back when Mike or another writer needs him.

I guess the media is saying that BJ is missing and presumed dead. We may find out the biggest Dick Tracy fan has fans of his own and they’ll hold a memorial service. This will give BJ an opportunity to attend his own funeral.

Yeah, I guess Richard Bonhomme (“Dick Goodman,” or Dick Goodfella," as suggested the former some days and the latter above by rawalko) alive could have helped with the mystery of Blackjack’s disappearance, to a degree. But, Like Tracy, I am satisfied with his demise. Just too bad those outstanding cases Tracy alluded to in panels 1 and especially 2 won’t have satisfying closure.

While I feel morally certain that Blackjack lives, I would like some confirmation!
