‘Spine of a cantaloupe’: CNN’s Anderson Cooper slams Ted Cruz’s ‘abject subordination’ to Tucker Carlson

“Backed into a corner,” Cooper said of Cruz, adding that Carlson was “giving that quizzical look he practices so hard.”

“And then, (Cruz) had to — he did the twist, hoping that by blaming the media, blaming Democrats, Carlson would get back on his side. Didn’t work,” Cooper said.

He noted that according to his CNN colleague Daniel Dale, Cruz called the Capitol insurrection a “terrorist attack” at least 17 previous times in official written statements, tweets, and remarks at Senate hearings and in interviews.

Dem lawmaker rips ‘empty shell’ Kevin McCarthy as ‘the dumber version of Ted Cruz’

Appearing on MSNBC on Friday night, Gallego said Cruz’s mea culpa on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show Thursday was yet another sign that the GOP has become a “cult of personality” in support of former president Donald Trump.

“It’s a sad statement from Cruz,” Gallego said. “I’ve been in politics now for probably 10 years, and it’s just not worth it. It’s not worth selling out your family like he (Cruz) did when he sold out his dad and his wife. It’s not worth selling your own soul, especially for someone like Donald Trump. And to grovel at the knees of someone like Tucker Carlson, it’s definitely not worth it.”

Gallego added that GOP lawmakers can no longer even condemn the violence that occurred on Jan. 6 because “you’re basically saying that it was pushed by dear leader, and you can’t attack dear leader, dear leader is perfect.”

After host Chris Hayes mentioned that McCarthy seems “somewhat similar” to Cruz, Gallego said: “Kevin McCarthy is Ted Cruz but just not as smart.”

“He’s the dumber version of Ted Cruz, still an empty shell of a human being, just as craven of a politician, but just not as smart,” Gallego added. “He’ll do anything to become speaker of the House. He’ll align himself with QAnon crazies, Matt Gaetz— who is pretty close at some point to hopefully being indicted for being a pedophile. This is the type of person that he is, and he’ll do it because he wants that title of speaker of the House.”

All of the evidence points toward all republicans being totally corrupt.

Isn’t it ironic how the far right media bubble has all of the traits that the far right accuse the Liberal “Deep State” of having. A shadow power to whom the politicians are beholden, with their own rules, their own secret agenda, no morality, and unlimited funding. Senators like Ted Cruz shouldn’t give a rat’s ass what some lacky FauxNews pundit like “Cucker” Tarleson thinks of him. Cruz should have wielded his senatorial power when he was called on the carpet for offending the Murdoch propaganda pundit. Instead, he yet again showed the country he is just a subordinate member of the Q-pub cuckold club. The hardest part of his day must be looking at himself in the mirror in the morning an realizing this.

The new Alt-Reich pols placed their souls in irrevocable trusts in 2016 when they threw their support behind one such as Trump, who pretty much represents everything opposite to what the U.S. used to stand for.

Interchangeable with McCarthy and Pence’s. Actually with the spines of the entire GOPQ who walk around on their knees when The Fat Orange Clown appears in person or on screen or his name is mentioned.

Point well taken! But the really odd thing about the recent pyrotechnics in the “conservative” Kommentariat about Cruz’s “violent terrorist attack” is that he’s used those very same words some five times since 1/6/21. Apparently he must get some sort of a rush out of sniveling and groveling. (And das Kommentariat has a porous memory.)
