She stashed her cup in the freezer all night to make her point.

I kept all my old fur coats from the 70/80’s and whenever the hubs turns down the heat, I pull them out and wear them like bathrobes.

He gets the hint…

At home it is the opposite. Hubby piles on the sweaters while I walk around in T-shirt. I am certain he is exaggerating, I mean 68F is quite comfy and warm.

Just the opposite in my house. I pay the bills so I know just how much goes to heat, which has gone up 50%. We have lots of throws and fleece jackets around. Only 10 more weeks of winter.

For what should be a coffeecicle, that looks more like water.

Is Ben just a cheap skate?

It is best to not be subtle with men. Even then, visual reinforcement is recommended.

Not far from reality. Been keeping my home temp at 68 in the day and 66 at night. Hubby and I are wearing flannel shirts over our normal clothing and keeping our slippers or shoes on. Knit caps not needed yet. Ha ha. Trying to stay within our budget has been a challenge with natural gas prices skyrocketing. It has been getting down to the 17’s in my area.

I have a director that keeps his house at 60. He is all bundled up on the zoom calls

When I try to get by with lower temps in the house, I end up so bundled up I can’t move around easily, so don’t don’t get stuff done, or warm up by getting stuff done…I also have hypothyroidism, which I refer to as my faulty thermostat.

It’s been so cold here in New Hampshire that the heater struggles to keep up overnight. We let our faucet drip ever so slightly so it didn’t freeze. Running water takes a good while to get hot. My sister was melting chocolate for her business yesterday, and she said it took 2-3 times as long to melt.

I spent the first 50 years of my life – too hot. I would have arguments with husband about my not wearing a coat in winter when he was cold and then wearing it unzipped.

Then all at the same time – I went through menopause, lost weight, and doctor decided I had a low thyroid (which should have been making me cold but did not) and started taking meds which put thyroid to normal – since then I am freezing cold all the time.

I always figured if one is cold – just put on heavier clothing. I found out the hard way that if one puts on a sweatshirt when it is in 80Fs because they feel cold – they still get heatstroke. So I just have to be cold all the time. Other day it was it was in the single digits and husband wanted me to wear extra layers of winter clothing to stick my head out the front door and take in the mail. I didn’t, just my usual jacket, and even stepped outside and I was no colder than normal – then again, not sure how much colder I could feel.

Heat is at 68F which in summer outside would make him warm (and in the old days I would be sweating) but it is terribly cold to both of us (even though he does not have the problem I do) and even when I was hot all the time I would feel colder in the house at same than I would outside at same in warmer weather.
