I did and still do. Back as kids he would be cranky to me at home, but if anyone else tried that, watch out. Now, he may be cranky but he is still my big brother who I love.

Unless there is a different “About” section, it does not explain why she is raising the kids.

When I was small, late 50’s/early 60’s, we had kiddy 78’s that were the size of a 45 but were red and had the smaller hole like a 33 1/3. I still have a bunch of them but my turntable does not offer that speed. Fun reading all the different memories!

While I haven’t watched either of those on tv, when they air The Sound of Music, it usually lasts 4 hours on tv with commercials. Lots of times they will edit the movies to fit into the time slot.

I have never understood why a woman would want to bring a man, or anyone else who doesn’t enjoy the experience, shopping with her. If someone is miserable it takes away from what might be a fun experience. Or makes a necessary trip much harder.

My husband is the same way. Responsible when needed, he will always come through for us but when he is in his child like phase, he sure keeps us laughing! Wouldn’t want him any other way!

Good luck having it last long enough to make the money back. We seem to have to replace ours every 5 years. Had a brand new one that needed to be repaired twice within the 90 day service from the manufacturer. If appliances were made to last then maybe I could see replacing before they die, but they are not. Our washer is over 20 years old. Am sure it is not efficient at all, but boy does it clean and has never needed repair. Talking to owners of the new “energy efficient” washers and am told that their clothes are definitely not as clean. Would rather pay the bit of electricity than the big bucks to replace with garbage. To each their own. If you have the money and desire, go for it.

Oops, meant to say $5 saved on electricity.

The $5 a year saved on a new appliance does not justify the cost of replacement. New appliances do NOT last as long as older ones so as far as I am concerned, would rather pay the extra in electric and have an appliance that works without needing repair every other month.
