Every kid and every grandkid in my experience is a total egoist. Me too. They CAN be trained out of it, but you have to keep at them pretty much full time. For a couple of decades. And it doesn’t always work. I’m sort of okay… make that “SORT OF” okay with people learning to cooperate even if it’s with a phone proxy… because it’s not the KIND of communication that matters but the EXISTENCE of communication. (When I was that age, I did the approximate equivalent of this behavior by retreating into a book, or going for a hike or bike ride. The kids did the same. The grandkids prefer videos or games to books (a shame, I think). If they’re TALKING to each other that’s a step up.

Besides, what about Covid… or the flu… or mass shootings if you happen to gather together?

Avoiding MAGAts has been a better motivation for avoiding “human” contact than COVID.

There’s no moderation when it comes to electronic devices!

This is why families don’t communicate anymore

We’ve become an isolated society, left to our own devices..

Evil lurks in the minds of men.

It all began way back, when they allowed calculators in the classroom!

We’ve become a thoughtless, lazy, influenced, selfish, evil society.

There’s no loyalty, scruples, ethics, class, and leadership.

Congress infighting is an indication of how the country is faring…

    It’s NOT!

Gen Z, alternatively known as iGen, is the first generation to be raised in the social media world. That’s certainly giving sociologists a lot to study. I heard a lecture by a professor working in this area and fortunately the news wasn’t all bad.

Don’t know about this generation Al but I learned it from having to grow up around Toxic Boomers. They’re still out there, trying to overthrow democracy, destroying the environment, constantly claiming that they and they alone are victims….

As a non-people, loner type who was way ahead of today’s kids, I can only say that I WISH I’D HAD ALL THOSE GADGETS AND APPS WHEN I WAS YOUNG!

When did we, as a people, forget about E Pluribus Unum?

I’m just old enough to remember a time before computers and IPODS / IPADS, when Parents were the final say in the raising of kids. If a kid got in trouble, the got their behinds paddled, at times so hard the kids butts turned red. It was a time when kids had respect for their parents, any other elder and respect for the law. It was a time when the only reason kids were inside is when they were either sick or being punished. ( not counting breakfast, dinnertime or bed ) The children of today would not make it back then! It was a time that will never come again and that is sad! Goodnight and Good luck.

My Sadie, an RN, once worked with the Blood Program.

One day, a series of high schoolers were donating, and two in particular, a young lady and a young fellow were texting almost continuously whilst donating. To/from each other – two meters apart!

When my lady expressed surprise, two heartbeats later she and the two texters simultaneously mumbled, “Generations.”

    And smiled.

Aren’t people are saying Goodwyn’s grandkids are finally old enough to start reading his cartoons and are just so disgusted they don’t want anything to do with him? I don’t know if that is true, I’m just asking questions.

Social and physical distancing measures aim to slow the spread of disease by stopping chains of transmission of COVID-19 and preventing new ones from appearing.

I remember when Americans fought disease and did not spread it like republicans do today.

The Totalitarian Democrat Communist Political Party Cult is the political party cult of division. Democrat Communists have spent decades dividing people apart.
