All I can say is that the only positive thing to come out of the pandemic is that the regressives are fewer in number because of their moronic behavior. He’s made a few PR mistakes, but hasn’t recommended bleach as a COVID treatment. That signature move was done by the malignant narcissist cult leader.

How ignorant is Gary being here. Doctors and subject matter experts of the various fields and concentrations of science (climate, physical, existential, medical, etc.) represent their field of study. So when Conservative conspiracy nuts reject the recommendations of the 9 out of 10 scientists on a subject and advocate the nonsense of people like Joe Rogan, Aaron Rodgers and other celebrities, then yeah, let Darwinism run its course.

History is rife with examples where physicians and scientists were wrong, committed fraud, mislead the public for their own benefit etc. Fauci has repeatedly been on the wrong side of the Wuhan CCP since the beginning.

When the virus was first identified, Fauci said it wasn’t anything to worry about and advised President Trump such.

Fauci was opposed to the Chinese travel ban that President Trump implemented and Biden called xenophobic along with many Democrat politicians. Many of the left wing posters here too as I recall.

Fauci said face masks didn’t work and encouraged people not to use them, such was his advice to President Trump. He didn’t change his position on this for several months.

When President Trump created Operation Warp Speed with the goal of having a viable vaccine by December 2020, Fauci said that timeframe was unrealistic and couldn’t be done.

Fauci said it wasn’t possible for the COVID-19 virus to have come from that lab in Wuhan but later reversed himself and said that it was likely.

Fauci lied about gain of function at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and funding it.

That’s enough to show how wrong Fauci has been in the past but there are a lot more examples out there for anyone willing to search.

Varvel’s real complaint is that Fauci refused to go along with Trump’s BS…

Covid could have been over in 2 months had Trump done the right thing.

There’s a guy on TV who pushes a gutter designed to ‘never clog’. I no longer watch him; I mute him and move on. Fauci isn’t perfect, none of us are. But he has been following this virus as it adapted and evolved during the past few years and (especially during the Trump years) has been the grownup in the room. So far, this Omnicron variant has been shown in Africa and Europe to be a very mild one (with no reports so far of people with this variant having difficulty breathing or losing their sense of smell and/or taste). Although we still don’t know everything about it. But, so far, I think Biden and his administration are right to emphasize vaccines and boosters over new lockdowns. I also think we should do what we can to vaccinate Africa (currently the least vaccinated continent). As Biden said months ago, “We can’t get back to normal until the rest of the world does”. As for here, I believe that the remaining vax holdouts will either get vaxxed or get sick and they’re basically hurting themselves. Most of us are doing the right thing (getting vaxxed/boosted, etc.) it’s just the ones that don’t that get the attention.
