For years, my neighbors raked leaves to the middle of the street and burned them. Terrible! I believe the highway superintendent finally caught wind of it and put an end to it.
a few years back we had a veggie patch next to some folks who were obsessed with keeping theirs weed-free. granny weeded from early a.m. until dusk. junior got out the flamethrower and burnt them weeds to a crisp whenever he had a spare moment. after we moved away we got news that junior, oops, accidentally burned down the tool shed. they managed to put the fire out before the house burned down…
Several years ago I watched a documentary on the US annual machine gun get together / rally. I think is was in Kentucky maybe? At night they pulled out the privately owned military grade flame throwers. Could not believe that private citizens can legally own a flame thrower.

How about next time you make that mistake, you at least do it away from the trees?

This tree won’t litter my lawn again next year! Take That!

I just hate it when I accidentally do that.

Maybe he was fearing for his life and defending himself from those leaves.

Uhm…the flame thrower does resemble some leaf blowers.

I have one of those, drives my wife nuts, it’s a short trip anyway. I learned the technique in West Texas burning prickly pear thorns.

On a side note, it is actually perfectly legal to own a flamethrower in this country. And as far as I know, a permit is not required.

I was just thinking the other day that a flame thrower would be more fun than a snow blower. Good idea to use it for leaves, too. Double duty!
