The Internet really popularized the infinite variety of cat behavior. Before that, there was no way to show people the amazing things your cat would refuse to do when strangers were around.

I have had cats perform on a radio program, promote a book sale by sitting on the books, bring home full-size rabbits, pose for numerous sketches, ride down daily off the roof on a cardboard box “elevator”, inspire plays, feed the other cats when I got home late, attend catnip parties and walk with me in the redwoods across logs fallen over a river.

Always had dogs as a boy. Who knew?
