I’ve outlived a lot of my shoes.

A cute “sole” vs “soul” mixup…

The “If I should die before I wake” line has caused more than a few sleepless nights…

That’s called Heaven. Praise the LORD.

That’s a dear, old prayer I too used when I was very young. But, it never occurred to me that soul was actually sole. What would God do with all those shoes?

I guess God has a thing for shoes.

Cute and refreshing.

There’s are newer, kinder versions for kids nowadays…don’t want to traumatize the little kiddos. I was taught it as a child as reads above, it never really bothered me.

A little more religious instruction might be in order but as she does say her night prayers, she’s off to a good start……

It’s adorable the way children’s minds interpret things. When I was about 4, I used to sing, “Bringing in the sheeps, bringing in the sheeps; we will come rejoicing bringing in the sheeps.” (For anyone not familiar with this hymn, the word is “sheaves.”)

Good question. I never thought about that when I was that age.

“….If I should live for better days/I pray the Lord to mend my ways.” Taking a more realistic view of kids than the “newer kinder versions”!
