Nah. The people who de-leaf the stadium use either giant vacuums or leaf blowers.

Wow! Mallett calling himself out on his look-down on football. Yet still feels superior.

When I was younger, our family routinely went to a certain high school football game. It was held at the local college stadium because so many people wanted to see it. One year both teams were #1 in their respective states. Would be hard to explain to Mallett attendance of 20,000 at a high school game.

I would actually prefer to leave my leaves alone, so to speak. And I do, in the back yard. The front yard, I rake, if only for the neighbors’ benefit.

Hawaii, high school football was more important than pro. It was fanatical!

i raked my leaves into piles for the dogs to play in. Once the leaves got broken down into bits and pieces, I finished mulching them with the mower. And on a nice weather autumn day, that is time outside well spent

You know what is a worse waste of time? Running a stadium food vending stand as a fund raiser for your kid’s school. What a scam! I think there were 6 or 7 of us involved for a season and we didn’t even raise $1000 for the school total. I certainly wasn’t any kind of rich – but I would have written a check for $150 as a donation to have avoided that.

Why rake leaves at all? Leave ‘em where they fall, let ’em mulch over the winter and mow away what’s left of ’em next spring.

I’d point out that there have been multiple strips referring to our modest hero watching the Tour De France which usually happens in June, but am sure that’s completely different and in no way, shape, or form evidence of double standards.
