More like the GQP burning the boat.

There will be no safety for anyone who isn’t obscenely wealthy when the post-default depression hits.

This is the GOP abandoning the country to protect their wealthy supporters, nothing more. This is the GOP playing party over country. This is the GOP proving they love money and power more than America.

It’s time to jettison the GOP.

Let’s see, the GOP raises the debt by around 8 trillion, now want to be deadbeats and not pay it. Something the Democrats have never done to the American people and the people directly impacted by shutting down the government.

It is another attempt of the Republicans to Make America Fail Again.

This is McConnell standing on ‘principle’, of which he has none. Just another opportunity for him to lob a bomb at the Dems. He could care less about the good of the nation and let his Q Senators raise the debt ceiling to pay for expenditures actually made by Congress under Herr Gropingfuror.

This makes no sense.

Trump is notorious for not paying people he owes. Now the GOP is taking on that philosophy. Run up the bill, and then don’t pay it.

To Democrats and Republicans: Quit spending money we don’t have. The argument that if we just borrow more, spend more, this time it will fix everything. It hasn’t fixed anything in the past, why do you think it will in the future?

Well, for once, this is accurate. Both sides have had a hand in raising the debt for our country, but when it comes to doing something about it, the Republicans leave the Democrats holding the bag. Unfortunately, Mr. Elephant won’t be able to row fast enough to escape the blast.

In the Alternate universe, it’s completely forgotten that the Republicans racked up almost $8T in debt, then dashed when the bill came due, leaving the Democrats on the hook to find a way to pay for it.
