I like good weather, I like the sun. I hate cold weather and rainy days.

What’s wrong with falling leaves, I think it’s romantic.

Drifting leaves are better than them all falling with one scattered but solid /whump/, Brutus.

I prefer spring to fall. But this might be one topic he and I see alike – fall means winter is coming along with snow and ice. At least he didn’t have to try to walk his dog in pouring rain this morning. It was successful, but neither of us enjoyed it very much.

I love everything about yard work & gardening EXCEPT raking leaves. SO I don’t, i mow them with a mulching mower.

And so it begins anew, the circle of the seasons. Ours started a couple weeks back as fallen leaves are all over the place and are falling like rain. My favorite time of the year, though, as all the holidays will be here shortly with their food good, football, fun,and memories. Let the good times begin!…..

My birch tree leaves fall and I have to rake them up. Until January when the last one falls. Along with leaves from all the neighbors’ trees. But I don’t seem to see any of my birch leaves anywhere else. Seems to be a one way situation.

When I lived in Michigan I never raked leaves or bagged up my cut grass. A mulching mower on my lawn tractor took care of that and added nutrients to my lawn

Brutus, that’s what Wilberforce is for, raking leaves. He needs practice performing menial jobs, since it appears his future points in that direction.

Our place is situated in what I call a vortex in which it seems that practically every leaf in the neighborhood, ends up in our yard. Sometimes, in the morning, we can barely open our storm door because the leaves are ankle deep on our front porch. A leaf blower helps, except when it’s windy. However, I still love fall and winter, and on the first day of fall here, I actually had to put on a sweater early in the morning! It’s going to get up to 86 pretty quickly, but the cool mornings are a good start.

Here in Scotland the leaves don’t begin to fall for another month, except for a couple of species of small tree.

Here in Columbus, Ohio it poured all day. I’d take a few falling leaves over the liquid sunshine deluge

Brutus, take comfort in the knowledge that the leaves fall on everyone, not just on you.

Although, on reflection, I won’t be totally surprised if the wind blows everyone else’s leaves off their lawns and onto yours.

Fall here just means wildfire season is peaking. And leaves don’t fall till December, usually. I have one huge tree that doesn’t dump is’ leaves until January.
