Apparently Lisa Benson is ignorant of the moon landing, the Interstate Highway System, the ways that Social Security and Medicare have almost eliminated poverty among the elderly, and so on. And I understand that FDR guy had something to do with stopping Hitler and the Nazis. And, going back a ways, I hear the federal government spent big bucks on a program that eliminated slavery. And, without a certain Civil Rights Act, could Lisa even sell her silly cartoons without getting her husband’s approval of each one?
