MY wife and I own a pool. I do the grunt work like hauling around the chemicals, getting rid of leaves and evicting frogs and the occasional turtle from the pool.
She does what I call alchemy on the pool. Actually, we get the water tested frequently and the place that does it tells us what chemicals to buy. We probably spend about $750 a year on chemicals – for a pool we manage to keep open for about 6 months, that’s not too bad.
