Once again Lisa Benson demonstrates her lack of understanding of basic economics.

BECAUSE OF BIDEN’S ENORMOUS SUCCESS in re-opening the economy, people have money in their pockets and demand for getting life back to normal is rising. Investment markets are up, employment is up, production is up and the economy is booming.

BECAUSE OF THE BIDEN ECONOMIC RECOVERY, there is a surge in consumer confidence and consumer demand, but after 16 months of being closed down due to TRUMP’S FAILURE TO HANDLE THE PANDEMIC, the supply chain has dried up. IT TAKES TIME for the supply chain to catch up with the rise in consumer demand.

In the meantime, there is a TEMPORARY imbalance in supply and demand, resulting in a TEMPORARY price imbalance that will self-correct as the supply chain catches up.

Do economic ignorati like Lisa really not see the difference between a TEMPORARY supply/demand/price imbalance and an actual rise in inflation? Or are they just trying to make up imaginary problems because they can’t find real ones now that Trump is gone?

It’s not like Biden supports logical economic policies, like reducing deficits by cutting taxes and raising defense spending.

Lisa, you should find out the facts before you draw something, and not just come up with and idea for a toon just because you hate Democrats and need to make up something to support your bias.

Poor Lisa can’t tell the difference between deficit spending an tax cuts with investment spending for America’s future, then conflates that ignorance with Covid shortages caused by pandemic and people going back to work.

I can’t blame her. It takes anyone with a rudimentary education in economics to understand and she didn’t make it past grade school math.

Isn’t that how Democrats think? Just print off more money to pay their debts? Money doesn’t grow on trees, it comes from a governmental printer. Why not spend like crazy, it isn’t like anyone in the government now will be responsible for paying it back….

Once again, Lyin’ Lisa shows off her MASSIVE levels of ignorance about how things work in THE REAL WORLD. But, then again, she STILL thinks that Agolf Twitler was a good president, so we can’t really expect TOO MUCH in the way of intelligent thought from her.

Ms Benson isn’t intelligent enough, educated enough, experienced enough, or rational enough to realize that all intelligent, educated, experienced, rational consumers KNOW that, if the the GOP Leadershit, particularly Miserly Moscow Mitch & Shit-for-Brains McCarthy, had given a damn about our democracy, our republic, our nation, our economy, & the health & well-being of our population, there would have been no mini-recession (that’s what all the clever economists are calling it), no 600,000+ deaths, & slight-to-no inflation, The economy slumped out of fearing fear, i.e., out of being abandoned by the GOP Leadershit government & out of workers’ self-interest for their health & the well-being of workers nationwide—workers who are the mainstay of our economy, When they were forced to cower at home because Trump et al. pooh-poohed the Covid-19 pandemic as tens of thousands of people died every month, billion$ & billion$ in savings went unspent and, now that our health & welfare seem to be getting back onto track, those billion$ & billion$ are chasing fewer products & services, i.e., demand FAR EXCEEDS supply & the inevitable result is inflation brought on by the GOP Leadershit’s MALFEASANCE, MISFEASANCE, & NONFEASANCE, i.e., Miserly Moscow Mitch & Shit-for-Brains McCarthy KNEW that the pandemic would shrink the economy, DID nothing to prevent that shrinkage, KNEW that the shrinking economy would cause a build-up of billion$ & billion$ as well as a build-up of demand for products & services that would burst onto the economy when the pandemic eased, THE GOP LEADERSHIT KNEW THIS, yet they let it occur, gambling on being able to shift the blame to Democrats rather than prevent the problems’ occurring, From the moment the Covid-19 pandemic struck, we have been in the GOP Leadershit’s petri dish, betrayed politically & economically for DECADES.

Give two trillion to the rich and corporations who pay no taxes anyway? That’s OK. Give money to working families, spend money on improving the lives of millions of citizens who have been ignored, fix roads and bridges, lift children out of poverty? HORRORS! We can’t allow THAT! Raise the minimum wage? We can’t do that! Those people aren’t worth it, say the fat-cat-commentators on TV who have never had a hungry moment in their lives. R’s know their priorities, and they don’t include the people who vote for them.

Companies took their flipping Trump/Repub tax cuts and bought back their own stock. When they got money during the pandemic, many of them protected the execs. What they did NOT do was buy supplies because there was no demand. Now that demand is up and supply is short, prices and inflation have gone up.

Who, for crying out loud, woke Bill up? So many comments from the right, proving the point that they don’t get fiat economies. The bloody dollar ain’t tied to a gold standard any more. The world economy is pieces of data transferring from computer to computer. Debt is one country owing another/several banks across the globe pieces of information whizzing through the ether. Look to your own home loans as an example, in the modern age. The debt is invariably paid by a computer taking data from your bank account and transferring it another bank account. As long as you have enough data in your account, the debt is being paid, while you use the object of the debt. Got that, you dummies?
