That is how Fox works things. Same for Newsmax, OANN, National Review, Washington Examiner and a few other ultra-right-wing organizations.

If Lisa Benson had not decided that college was “not right for her” after taking just a few classes, maybe she would be educated enough to know that…

    • The First Amendment limits ONLY THE GOVERNMENT (and only the Federal Government as originally written, and applied to the states by their own state versions and via the “Incorporation Doctrine” of the Fourteenth Amendment)

    • Facebook is not a government or public activity in any way

Oh well, so much for the conservatives’ vaunted worship of not regulating PRIVATE CORPORATE BUSINESSES

Lisa has a LOT of trouble with the idea that information is based on reality… and if it’s lies or attempts to foment rebellion or the like then it’s just not information. Of course she has a lot of trouble noticing reality anyway…

Funnily enough, even Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t use Whatsapp, which Facebook owns. Some hackers found his phone number and found out he actually uses Signal.

The Almighty Algorithm gave me a day off from FB for trying to post a picture of the leader of the American Nazi Party in the 60s with the question, “Has the party of Lincoln become the party of George Lincoln Rockwell?” It’s their game and FB doesn’t charge me anything so I accept their rules without whining.

Facebook isn’t the News. If that’s where you get your news, it explains a lot.

And speaking of news, I’ve got more for you. News organizations always have to make decisions about what they will report or not report. That’s one of the jobs of the editor. They have lots of reasons for their choices – lack of public interest, lack of supporting facts, editorial standards, they may piss off advertisers, not enough resources to properly follow the story. One reason they won’t have is that the government told them to or not to (in most cases, but there are exceptions – THAT’s censorship).

Facebook is a social media company. They have standards for people’s behavior while they use Facebooks platform. Whether they enforce those fairly is a fair question. But whether or not they do so, is up to them. It’s their football, so their rules.

Just a opinion, NOT my opinion but even stupid opinions have the right to be aired, at least they use to be before the new democrat Nazi administration stole power in November. Kahneman, Sibony and Sunstein on Bias vs. Noise

The word “bias” commonly appears in conversations about mistaken judgments and unfortunate decisions. We use it when there is discrimination, for instance against women or in favor of Ivy League graduates. But the meaning of the word is broader: A bias is any predictable error that inclines your judgment in a particular direction. For instance, we speak of bias when forecasts of sales are consistently optimistic or investment decisions overly cautious.Society has devoted a lot of attention to the problem of bias — and rightly so. But when it comes to mistaken judgments and unfortunate decisions, there is another type of error that attracts far less attention: noise. To see the difference between bias and noise, consider your bathroom scale. If on average the readings it gives are too high (or too low), the scale is biased. If it shows different readings when you step on it several times in quick succession, the scale is noisy. (Cheap scales are likely to be both biased and noisy.) While bias is the average of errors, noise is their variability.Although it is often ignored, noise is a large source of malfunction in society. In a 1981 study, for example, 208 federal judges were asked to determine the appropriate sentences for the same 16 cases. The cases were described by the characteristics of the offense (robbery or fraud, violent or not) and of the defendant (young or old, repeat or first-time offender, accomplice or principal). You might have expected judges to agree closely about such vignettes, which were stripped of distracting details and contained only relevant information. But the judges did not agree. The average difference between the sentences that two randomly chosen judges gave for the same crime was more than 3.5 years. Considering that the mean sentence was seven years, that was a disconcerting amount of noise. (Cont’d)

For anyone that wants to defend Facebook, just listen to what the Press Secretary stated at her press briefing the other day. She stated that the biden admin is telling Facebook which post are “misinformation,” and therefore should be taken down. Then Facebook takes them down. Is this the America you want to live in, where the government decides what information should be posted, and what information is “false.” So much for freedom of speech. The funny thing is, Facebook has yet to censor or ban the mullahs in Iran, who are calling for the destruction of Israel and the US. Facebook has yet to censor or ban China or its leaders, who has enslaved hundreds of thousands, possibly millions (and yet you and Facebook will say you are against slavery), killed even more, all in the name of communism and the CCP. Facebook has yet to censor or ban Cuban leaders, who have used force and its military (killing hundreds, if not thousands) to stop the people of Cuba from protesting the government’s oppressive policies. Apparently, Facebook only censors or bans people that do not agree with the DNC, the biden admin, and the DNC propaganda machine, AKS the MSM. Wait, they will ban anyone that does not agree with the CCP, who apparently really controls Facebook, so be careful, or you too will be banned, unless you are a socialist or supporter of the CCP.
