OH PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make him go to prison. The sight of the first traitorous president in prison would do the country and the world so much good. We could then say nobody is above the law in the U.S.. It would also make me feel wonderful to see that lying, traitor purp walked in to prison.

And show the wannabe authoritarian’s that their turn is coming.

The Trump Organization has a long history of ducking taxes and skimming money

    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-org-indictments-2653646801/

Eric Trump gets pilloried after giving away the game about the Trump Org indictment on live TV

He even went a step further by weighing in on the alleged scheme the company is accused of. He dismissed the allegations describing the alleged kickbacks as nothing more than “employment perks.” But that’s conceding exactly the point at issue: The DA argues that the Trump Organization paid Weisselberg using these “perks” — such as renting him an apartment in New York City — to compensate him and avoid paying taxes. That’s a crime, and calling the non-salary benefits “employment perks” doesn’t reduce culpability. It confirms the prosecutors’ account of events.

There is no way America is going to put Trump in prison. He may be fined and be put on house arrest, but even that is incredibly remote. I would play the odds on that.

IF and when he’s ever put behind bars, I hope it’s just a County Jail where MAGA Capitol rioters that NEVER got pardons can “show him the ropes” of survival . . . and how to “hang in there” hoping for an early release due to some loophole in the law . . . not a rope.

49 Trump insurrectionists accused of destroying evidence after documenting their Capitol attack

“They flaunted their participation in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol on social media and then, apparently realizing they were in legal trouble, rushed to delete evidence of it, authorities say. Now their attempts to cover up their role in the deadly siege are likely to come back to haunt them in court. An Associated Press review of court records has found that at least 49 defendants are accused of trying to erase incriminating photos, videos and texts from phones or social media accounts documenting their conduct as a pro-Donald Trump mob stormed Congress and briefly interrupted the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s election victory,” the AP reported Saturday.

“Experts say the efforts to scrub the social media accounts reveal a desperate willingness to manipulate evidence once these people realized they were in hot water. And, they say, it can serve as powerful proof of people’s consciousness of guilt and can make it harder to negotiate plea deals and seek leniency at sentencing,” the AP explained.

“Erasing digital content isn’t as easy as deleting content from phones, removing social media posts or shutting down accounts. Investigators have been able to retrieve the digital content by requesting it from social media companies, even after accounts are shut down,” the AP reported. “Posts made on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms are recoverable for a certain period of time, and authorities routinely ask those companies to preserve the records until they get court orders to view the posts, said Adam Scott Wandt, a public policy professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice who trains law enforcement on cyber-based investigations.”

Well, I for one don’t see Trump ending up behind bars if he gets convicted from the NYS Court (though I would love to see him in an orange jumpsuit “conceding” the top bunk to his cellmate). But I would gladly settle for house arrest at Mar a Lago. He continues to say that Biden “stole” the election at his rallies, but now even former VP Pence and former AG Barr are saying that Biden won the election. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, wouldn’t you agree Trump?
