Today is Father’s Day in Brazil and Taiwan. The ONLY reason I know this is because every morning I go to google doodles. The main page shows what doodles are being used all around the world. I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve learned about people from around the world that never made a blip here in the US, but in their own country they broke barriers.
Oh. come on – we are all forgetting what day it is all the time.
I was talking with my 92 yo mom on the phone yesterday (my turn to call her is Sundays), mom’s mind is still pretty good, but not perfect – generally she knows it is me calling as she remembers it is Sunday night. I was surprised when she said that she was mailing us an anniversary card for our upcoming wedding anniversary – I had not realized it was coming up at all!
Waiting to see if husband remembers – I am hoping not, as I never like making a big deal of it – it is an arbitrary day that the college chapel and the catering hall happened to be available while the mental health agency he ran was going to be closed for vacation. I would preferred just a trip to the county hall. Of course my mom will probably call and his sister text to him and remind him and he will decide we should go out for dinner – I don’t like doing that even in normal times.
