Getting the paint out of her hair will take some doing. And I think that her clothes are toast. As for the house. You might be able to clean the toddler-mess and repaint if you can get to it before the paint starts to dry. Otherwise, you will have to let the paint dry and sand out the problem areas. And then repaint.
When I was a teenager in the 60’s I saw a ticked off mom walking down the street dragging two giggling toddlers. The kids were covered in driveway sealer. I’ll bet that nobody enjoyed the rest of that afternoon.
Its when they’re quiet that you have to worry. One time my oldest son (whose now 40) let us sleep in. We peeked around the corner into his room. He had his diaper off and was finger painting on the wall.
After reading the comments on this strip for some time now, I am going to give my first attempt at a comment. I hope I get it right.John is painting the house an ugly color and the paint is still wet. April, who is not being sufficiently watched, starts to touch the paint and gets it all over her hands, hair and clothes. John must discover this although we don’t’ get to see it and brings April to Elly because he is incompetent in taking care of a child. Elly is so wrapped up in her phone gossip that she has no idea where April is and doesn’t really care. They are both horrible parents and should have their children taken away. In fact, Go Comics should be held criminally liable for publishing such a strip on their site promoting bad parenting for the sake of a joke. Lynn Johnston should be thrown into Canadian jail for creating this make believe world based on her own life because she is obviously a psychopath. Did I sufficiently explain the strip and point out how terrible the fictional characters are for the sake of a joke?

Dogs and kids need special attention when you’re painting or pouring cement. I know I did.

Any amount of time , greater than ten seconds, and you can count on them to be in trouble. The longer the more desperate/ hillarious/ messier!

This one HAD to have been drawn from real-life experience. No adult could think of all the ways to mess things up little April did.
