Tarzan takes nothing “lion” down.

Leatha is in suicide mode. Or looking for breakfast…….

Numa’s “business” is to have breakfast!

Tarzan is overjoyed, it has been long since he last killed a lion.

I never understood ERB’s hatred to lions, that in every novel Tarzan kills at least one (in the fifth novel he kills four), and befriends so few (two lions in the seventh novel and Jad-Bal-Ja).

And when Numa investigates and finds the #1 lion killer in all of Africa in the group, he becomes enraged.

As Tarzan swings into the trees, irritated beyond measure, he thinks to himself, “OK, Letha, this tears it. From now on, your jungle name is ‘Kitty Snack’!”

If Tarzan is going to do some tree and vine swinging, he should leave his knife sheathed and have both hands free. Jeez… Here’s me, never having swung from a vine in my life, sitting on my sofa giving advice to the Lord of the Jungle. Presumptuous.

Whoa, scratch my expert opinion of panel two.

Maybe Tarzan mistook the voice and that’s really Scar.

So, “investigate” and “stalk” mean the same thing, did not know that… ☺

Yeah, lions are just worried that some predator is after them. Poor, helpless things.
