One of the greatest openings in literature.
I’m not getting this. Tarzan’s plan to relieve the tension was to casually stroll over to inspect the doctor. How was that supposed to relieve the tension? And that plan backfired because the doctor’s condition was serious? That doesn’t seem to make sense. Oh well, maybe I’m just missing something. I’m not surprised though at one of Tarzan’s plans backfiring. This seems to happen regularly much to the detriment of whoever happens to be following him at the time.
I’ve answered that I was a teacher when asked my occupation but I’ve never introduced myself as being a teacher and I’ve never known anybody who has.
Since Tarzan is fluent in Bolgani (Bolganese?), he should try calmly talking the gorilla down before resorting to the knife.
That was the sappiest Tarzan story ever.
Airplane food isn’t great but it’s not that bad either. It’s the lack of space, the opening and juggling of all the little containers, and the plastic utensils that take a lot of the pleasure out of it.
A 20 year study out of Norway has found that drinking filtered. coffee reduces the risk of heart attack while drinking unfiltered coffee, such as from a French press, increases the risk of death. Apparently coffee contains lipids that increase the “bad” LDL cholesterol in the blood. Filters remove that substance. Unfiltered coffee contains 30 times the lipids that filtered coffee does.
Quick, Tarzan! Back to the main camp! This could go on until Tarzan is exhausted and there is no one from the crew left.
