I went out for baseball in HS and college. I made third team bench. Mom was so proud.

In football you would play three positions. End, guard and tackle. End of the bench, guard the water bucket, tackle anyone who gets near it. (A joke from my deceased plugger grandfather)

Our one room grade school had special rules for baseball. The big boys got to bat. The rest of us were fielders and I often got to be the pitcher because I tried to throw the ball so the batter could hit it. Learned later that there were things like teams and the pitcher was supposed to get the batter to miss the ball.

Well Skyler, you DO get to shag foul balls.
