Well THAT is a blast from the past. Nice to know that Rogers knows about To Serve Man … either from 1950 (Damon Knight) or the Twilight Zone epsode in the 60s which was based on it.
The cartoon is a neat comparison between a familiar science fiction story and the present political situation.
Another even better reference and comparison might be to the 1985 Jerry Pournelle / Larry Niven novel, “Footall.” Alien invaders that resemble baby elephants with multiple prehensile trunks invade Earth after destroying the environment of their home world. They are herd animals and fight differently than humans, which gives us important advantages, as well as many disadvantages that are with difficulty overcome in the end.
Any further explanation here would be too short and inadequate to present the complex storylines of the novel. Please read the Wikipedia article — and of course the novel itself, if you haven’t already. You could almost think that the authors were prescient to how things are now, presenting a broad allegory of human nature in its continuing fight against destruction from without and also from within.

Yes, the Pachyderm People won’t be satisfied until Democracy is dead, and all Americans are under their control.

If we don’t stop them, our goose is cooked. Exercise your voting rights while you still have them. Vote Democrat to save democracy.

Beautifully simple and elegantly straightforward. If it were a sticker, I’d be carrying a stack and defacing public spaces all over town.
