But the stubborn idiots say “I’d rather die than take that vaccine”. Unfortunately, you just can’t fix STUPID!!!!

Death for myself and others? Not convinced. You’re offering doughnuts? Now that’s a different story!

Well, by now all the anti-vaccine and anti-mask people should be dead. No? Oh, my!

Personally, I believe in vaccines. After all, I am old enough to remember polio. Being a retired GI who got around overseas considerably I had vaccines for diseases not seen in the USA for a hundred years.

But a vaccine is not a panacea. Especially for a disease with such a relatively low mortality rate. It mostly took the aged and infirm and immunity challenged.

If they do not vaccinate, and I do, they can do me no harm so I ignore the issue (paper and cloth masks are useless so I do not count them). It’s like people who smoke meth. I do not so what they do does not interest me as they hurt themselves. I only become annoyed if they try to steal from me to support their habit. If they smoke and die quietly I could care less other than to have their carcass disposed of before it rots. It was their choice, and personal choice means personal responsibility. I’d say give them all the meth they can smoke and dispose of them in pauper graves when they OD. Let Darwin prevail.

Removed the blade? Made the blade smaller?

Either way, I hope vaccine incentive works.

The republicans are all excited about the COVID potentially coming from a lab in Wuhan. I wonder what their position will be when the next generation of COVID comes from the breeding stock left in the anti vaxxers. And that next generation could be a doozy.

?? Is the vaccine incentive going to cause death?

In the news today, a scary rise in the numbers of teens in ICU for the covid. Well, what else can you expect? Some goober says ’’everything’s safe now’’ and the kids go back to their teen behaviour.

I’m vaxxed, still wear a mask and avoiding crowds. Be advised, the threat from covid, isn’t gone yet. New mutations are being found all over the globe.

One of those mutations, may just laugh at your puny vaxx.

I was afraid to get the vaccine. I never got the flu shots either. But in this case, I did go and get the covid vaccine and the only side effect I got was some fuzzy thinking that only lasted a day. The shot didn’t hurt at all. Go and get the vaccine, it’s okay. I got the one-time shot.

If the unvaccinated couldn’t spread the virus to my children, I would be fine with them not taking the vaccine. But they can, therefore I’m not.

You’d think that the simple fact that the vaccine itself is free would be incentive enuf, wouldn’t you? But no.

I just love that guy (now dead) who derided Covaccine because “I have an immune system”. Yes, you do, but dear heart, that’s how vaccines "work"—they give your immune system a head start. (I guess a lot of people have trouble with the difference between a vaccine and an antibiotic.)

Hah! Until I looked at the comments I totally misread this and thought that Death wearing the “vaccine incentive” badge meant that the vaccine incentives were inviting people to risk death…

I just watched Fareed Zaharia on CNN having a discussion with former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and one of the topics was the poorer nations with less access to the vaccine. My thought is that President Biden should just tell the unvaccinated Americans that if they don’t want the vaccine, then we will GIVE what is left to those nations. Give them, the nay-sayers, a time line, then see what happens.

Alas, a great many people are both innumerate AND unwilling to accept the words of those who are. Exacerbated by the fact that a few people DO have negative consequences from the vaccine and another fact that human brains are hard wired to over-estimate the cost of small negative odds EVEN WHEN the upside is hugely greater.

A quote (from a fiction) I’m fond of in this regard: “If you are so intent on preventing people from cheating you, you may succeed, but you are very  likely to cheat yourself!”

I read on a weekly basis where someone dies after denying the need to be vaccinated. If that isn’t an incentive to get it done now, then what is??!!

It is simply a mystery to me, why something as serious as this Covid has been for way over a year now, reaching around the globe that some people are so foolish as to deny it [either] works or they refuse to take it for whatever reasons. Stupidity, stubbornness, defiance…whatEVER. If it weren’t for the people having to care for sick people once they get sick, I wish 75% of them would GET IT and realize just how ignorant and foolish they are. It just galls me no end!!!!!!!!!!! It is NOT a political thing people! It is your lives and those of your loved ones (and the rest of us..even vaccinated) that are at risk!
