Don’t worry Rikki, Abner will be just fine. Just put him in a pit of cement for a few hours, he’ll emerge good as new! LOL!

The mighty Tracy, arrows embedded in his arm don’t faze him from doing supernatural feats of law enforcement!

Wait — what’s that yellow splash on Tracy’s arm?!

Could it be… the poison??? (dah-DAH-DAHH….)

Just mustard, or mustard gas? That is the question. /s

What is the yellow splat where the arrow is? Mustard? Was Dick eating a supersized hotdog?

It came from the John Wilkes booth!

Let me the first to say that the colourisation of the dart and impact (wound) area is completely and utterly stupid. – Quite obviously meant to depict blood seeping into the jacket sleeve.

How many times does Abner have to die, before he’s really dead…?

Even though the colouring is bad in p2, the colouring of Abner’s face/mask is excellent.

10: “No. This is a trick. Abner killed you, which is why I’m killing him for killing you. You have to let me go, either because I just saved your life, or because you’re dead and I don’t have to listen to you.”

Tracy: “Rikki, I’m leaving. This idiot is giving me a headache. You have 5 minutes with him before I re-renter this room. Knock yourself out.”

Rikki is going back to the jug. No need to waste time and money for a new trial for her current escapade when she probably got enough years on the last one to insure she will be old withered and wrinkled by the time she gets out. Ab will be long dead by then if he isn’t already, but she will proudly carry the legacy of ugly to her own dying day. Her son will grow up to be an accountant for “Mr. Big”.

Good evening, my fellow nocturnal friends. I can’t believe I’m still awake. I had to see if Kadaver has kicked the old bucket or not yet. He’s a killer, cretin but I have to give him props for defending Rikki. Maybe if Tracy can help Kadaver, the favor may be returned by Kadaver as far as the arm dart goes. Just a guess though.

It’s nice to see that Sam did apparently call for backup and that Tracy seems to be concerned about Rikki’s welfare. It looks like Tracy didn’t have to shoot anyone this time. Abner doesn’t look too good, but then again, he never did.

To Sam: Technically, it’s not “their” booth. Their booth (for the opening night, not for now) was at the back of the theatre rather than at the side where they are. Yes, I know that the one they are in could be considered “their” location, but I still am not a big fan of the wording here.

We saw 10 hit Rikki, but now she’s fine. Another example of the healing power of the Powers That Be commanding No Females Shall Be Harmed!

Oh no…. Abner could really become a cadaver!

Tracy Transfusion to the rescue! And somehow miraculously Tracy’s blood will cure Abner’s disease…out of gratitude Abner will surrender (after discovering Rikki is carrying his baby) and turn States Evidence against The Apparatus which will reduce his sentence to ONLY three life terms lol

Since they’ve carefully shown that Tracy was, indeed, shot, I guess that’s going to become part of the story. I wonder if he’s going to suddenly keel over.

But why is he leaving it in his arm? He’s GOT to know that it’s probably poison.

and again we see police procedure going out the window. 1) don’t tell him to put the gun down slowly, it’s “Drop it, NOW!” 2) you’re on body guard detail, in the event of an attack you get the target OUT, let other people go for the shooter, you get the subject out of the area not standing around in the middle of a big auditorium waiting for the 2nd shooter to have a go.. So much for Tracy’s crimestoppers.

Relax, it’s just a flesh wound.

So let’s see…Sam finally wakes up…the dart in Tracy’s arm must not be poisonous…Rikki is okay but Abner took a bullet…We are well on course?

He’s been shot and already looks like a two year decomposing corpse.

1-SAM: WHAT’S THAT UP THERE? SQUINTY COP: I don’t see nuthin’ WORRIED COP: I think Sam has lost it… CHARLIE: I need a new eyeglass prescription I guess.

2-DT: It has been pointed out to me that this arrow is NOT poisoned so all this weirdness that I thought was my afterlife MUST BE REAL LIFE. So, you’re under arrest.

TEN: OH YEAH? How about that yellow poison pus oozing out from around the wound?

DT: Uh oh. Have I been lied to? It’s that Shroedingers…Shrudongers…that cat in a box thing! I’m both alive and dead at the same time!

3-RIKKI: Oh no, A.B.! I’ll do hand-to-fang resuscitation! WAVE WAVE WAVE IT’S WORKING! I think…

Silly goose feathers. It’s the poison leaking out since the dart didn’t pierce Tracey’s skin.

Kadaver looking a little more “dead” than usual today. He’s really let himself go…..

Get him to a dentist – quick!

While he’s not on stage, Abner may be playing out his final scene.

One of those officers is giving Sam a “what in the world” are we getting into look.

A door has been opened…..smoke must be clearing out.

Either the Ten of Spades hit Rikki with what is called a glancing blow or the gash of her cheek must be on the other side.

Right now Vitamin’s probably thinking, “They interrupted my performance!”

“When you die at The Palace, you really DIE at The Palace!”

Abner Kadaver is now a Cadaver!

Abner is looking like a mostly dead cadaver in panel 3, but who really knows at this point? Rikki is not too much worse for the pistol-whipping she took, it seems—not even a bruise showing.

Luckily, Tracy, arrow/dart/bolt and all, has got the drop on Ten of Spades while Sam and back-up uniforms hurry toward the scene of the action.

But what has really caught my eye today is how much Ten in panel 2 looks feminine (it’s the eyes, especially)! Could Ten of Spades be a female hitman?

Jeez, I wonder what Moonbeam and that other useless female character were talking about 3 weeks ago? More tomorrow on As the Stomach Turns

How can she tell?

I just noticed this, but is he wearing his trench coat under his suit? I thought the yellow on arrow hit day was just for effect.
