Wise decision to not gawp – as soon as there are 3 fishes watching the 3 eagles might stop squabble and all 3 will be prey, one each.

Not sure if I told this story here before, but a few years ago I was watching what I thought were two Eagles circling around each other over the lake in front of my house. They continued circling, all the while climbing higher and higher. When they got to a good height, the slightly smaller bird, which was a young Osprey, let go of the fish it was carrying. In last than a half-second the Eagle flipped over and snatched that fish out of mid-air. The Osprey then flew in my direction, having lost it’s meal to the larger and more powerful Eagle.

Ben Franklin was right; The wild Turkey should be our national bird.

Usually, it’s a bald eagle stealing fish from osprey.
