Biden has proposed raising taxes on corporations (returning only HALF of the amount Trump reduced their taxes to in his corporate welfare / tax giveaway to the rich act) and on those earning $400,000 per year.

TrumpubliQans who are whining about asking those who have benefited the most while others have suffered to pay a little more, closing loopholes and getting closer to making them pay their fair share, are simply admitting, openly and publicly, that THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR RICH DONORS and that, if you are not a ginormous corporation or a bazillionaire, TRUMPUBLIQANS DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

Yeah, there really ARE pinheads out there who think (if that’s the verb) that this will harm the economy. If you’re one such, let me answer as I’m sure you’ll understand: Pbfthpt!

This would be hilarious if it wasn’t so true.

(It’s still hilarious, but it’s the kind of hilarity that goes with a heavy sigh.)

Have you ever heard of a Georgia search warrant? Five deputies go to a trailer park. Four of them go to the front door of the trailer they want to enter while the other goes to the back of it. One deputy knocks on the door and the one in back hollers, “Come in…”

How long will it take for them to realize the majority of us won’t be paying any increase in Taxes that isn’t related to the fact that the Republican’s made our tax cut temporary.

While I’m all for the tax increases, realistically some of that increase is going to get passed on in the form of higher prices. It then becomes a VAT (Value Added Tax) on goods sold. That way everyone pays something and not just those with incomes over $400k. An increase in minimum wage will work the same way with price increases.

For some reason, [propaganda/disinformation?] the middle-class “Republicans” think that they are much wealthier than they actually are.

Not only do some states contribute more to the federal budget than others, but some also receive less from the federal government in return. On average, each of our 50 states receives about $1.14 from the federal government for every tax dollar they send to Washington.

This is why our federal government runs a deficit every year. The traditional red states mentioned above, however, receive more — much more. For example, Mississippi received $2.13 for every tax dollar it sends to Washington by way of federal taxes, West Virginia $2.07, Kentucky $1.90, and South Carolina $1.71.

For some large traditional blue states, California receives only 96 cents, Massachusetts 83 cents, Connecticut 82 cents, New York 81 cents, and New Jersey 74 cents for every tax dollar they sent to Washington. The discrepancy is significant.

The world average corporate tax rate is 21-22 . Biden is proposing 28. I do think this step would be problematic.

Let’s see Ike funded his infrastructure plan with a 90 percent corporate tax. If you invested back into your company you avoided taxes on the investment.

Ever since the South was settled the white working man/small farmer has believed he has two choices identify with the wealthy planter class who will keep the black man/slave in his place-below the poor white man or join on equal terms with the black man and maybe together gain more wealth. He has always opted for the former.

Raise tax rates; shrink deductions and credits, and overstaff the IRS to enforce the law against the tax-dodging class.

LOL, my Trumper nephew started claiming the day after Trump was elected that Trump would make him rich by slashing his taxes… all throughout Trump’s term, that nephew never quit complaining about lack of money – he certainly never got rich… but now he claims that if Trump just had four more years it would happen…

I envisioned the old Trump supporter and “Q” believer saying, “The South Shall Rise Again”, as the dam breaks holding back all the turds in the massive lake of sewage and floats the entire trailer park down stream. A rising tide of sewage lifts all trailers . . . . over the top of the Confederate flagpoles too. Bless their hearts. Is it too soon to talk about infrastructure ?

Florida Elections Commission general counsel arrested on child porn charges

Eric Lipman also served as an officer with a nonprofit soccer league for boys and girls aged 4-17.

The general counsel for the Florida Elections Commission was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of child pornography, according to court records.

Eric M. Lipman, 59, was charged with 11 counts of the crime and taken to the Leon County Detention Facility.

Tim Vaccaro, executive director of the Elections Commission, confirmed Lipman’s arrest in an email to the Tallahassee Democrat.

“The commission is fully cooperating with law enforcement’s investigation,” Vaccaro said. “The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending further information.”

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest Wednesday, thouh it did not identify Lipman as an attorney with the Elections Commission.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit got a tip Feb. 24 from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about possible child porn downloaded by a local individual.

After a six-week investigation, detectives developed Lipman as the suspect. On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant at his home on Benchmark Trace.

“As a result of the investigation and evidence discovered in the search warrant, Lipman was arrested and charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography,” LCSO said.

He was placed on pretrial release during his first court appearance Thursday morning. He was ordered to stay off the internet, except for work purposes, and told to stay away from places where children gather.
