As usual, an excellent ’toon from Mike Luckovich, this time highlighting two crises — a human massacre of unimaginable proportions from COVID and a crisis on our southern border — both of which are the result of criminal negligence on the part of Donald Trump:

The COVID 19 crisis in the United States is 100% due to Trump’s negligence and incompetence, who unraveled pandemic management resources and plans developed under Obama, ignored early warnings from his own people, ignored serious proposals for early action that were being called for in JANUARY, and refused to take serious action for two months, while his tape-recorded interviews with Bob Woodward confirm that he fully understood (well, to the degree Trump is capable of “understanding” anything) the seriousness of the coming pandemic, even as he intentionally downplayed it for political reasons (which is ironic, since his catastrophic failure likely made the difference is causing him to LOSE THE ELECTION by MORE THAN SEVEN MILLION VOTES and an Electoral College “landslide” (his description of that margin in 2016).

The current border crisis is also on Trump’s hands. By the end of Obama’s tenure, preventive strategies of working with the troubled countries of Central America to stabilize communities had been so successful, that Obama turned over to Trump a border with attempted illegal crossings at a 40-year low. By dismantling Obama’s policies, Trump drove millions of people into desperation. Many joined large caravans to the U.S. seeking refuge. And when it became clear that he would be leaving office, Trump LIED and promoted the FALSEHOOD that Biden would have a policy of open borders, which is not true. This gave would-be migrants the FALSE IMPRESSION that they would be welcomed, which they are not. Families that arrive intact are being turned away. Only UNACCOMPANIED minors arriving WITHOUT PARENTS are being allowed in for protective custody, as a humanitarian gesture.

It all depends on what bothers YOU. People with a conscience, a shred of empathy or some idea that we should all strive for okayness if not greatness will be bothered by some things. People who worry about ☞ invaders ☜ or (gasp) letting someone ☞ unfairly ☜ reaping some advantage without paying for it are bothered about something else.

It’s easier to blame the migrant situation on Biden now than it is to find someone or thing to blame for the covid thing.

Republicans always seem to make a huge mess, get voted out, and spend the next two years blaming the Democrats.

Are they not all issues to be dealt with as best we/you can. We/you have thrown unlimited resources to fix one.. the other one impacts even more people.. those “kids” at the border are just the most visible (at the moment) of a much larger immigration/undocumented problem.

Those kids are dirt poor and non-white. That’s two too many strikes against them as far as the Qupublinuts are concerned. But it’s still something handy to place all the blame on the Biden administration. Their hero knew how to deal with “those” people.

It’s true that minorities were and are disproportionately affected by Covid, but facts are stubborn things: IF it had ensured Trump’s re-election, Traitor Trump could not have cared less if TWENTY MILLION Americans had died of Covid. Even if every single one of them was so white that he glowed in the dark. Trump is incapable of caring about anyone or anything but himself.

The elephant wouldn’t consider immigration a crisis if it could get those immigrants to pledge that they would only vote Republican…

Bringing more Covid into the country. The kids can have in school classes but American children can’t. Hmm let me see, if you liberals care about children, why do you abort babies? We can’t take in everyone from all around the earth. Democrats don’t even help our homeless people.. Ask why Biden is putting them all in cages. The same one that Obama built.
