How many times have I played out a conversation that starts with “Do you realize how SILLY you look with your nose sticking out like that?” (or some similar thing). Only tried it once. There was no real confrontation thing, but nobody learned anything either.
Depending on his mood, she could have caught something besides germs. Asking a child to behave can bring on a tantrum. Asking an adult to behave can be worse in every way.
Fox News and the GOP are still spreading misinformation.
Fox asks, “Why is Biden still wearing a mask? He’s been vaccinated. It’s showmanship. He’s politicizing mask wearing.”
Ted Cruz told a bunch of reporters that he did not have to wear a mask because he had his vaccinations and if they didn’t like it, they “were free to leave.”
This pandemic has been going on for over a year. Every day we been told that we should wear masks TO PROTECT OTHERS FROM OURSELVES. It seems that if you are a right winger, Trumpie or Republican 365+ times isn’t enough. You just don’t get it.
Either that, or you are so rude and mean, you essentially are saying, “I’m safe so F*ck you!”
Ted was also at the border for a photo op. He said that he was harrassed by Mexican smugglers across the river who were shining their flashlights at him.
Good thing for Ted, they were Mexicans. If they were “Patriotic Americans” they would have been armed with AR-15s instead of flashlights.
I am glad to see that Ted survived the terrifying experience. It proves what a brave man he is.
@Terry Preta Gardens: You are one of four things: (1) a troll, (2) an ignoramus who actually prefers to believe politicians over scientists who know something, (3) an idiot, (4) some combination of the above.
Until we had vaccines, the ONLY methods we had to reduce the likelihood of spreading or catching this deadly and highly infectious disease were masks and social distancing. We still need both until we reach “herd immunity” levels. Write this down:
“Herd immunity” requires 80-85% of the population vaccinated.
Even the vaccinated are not 100% safe, nor 100% safe from spreading it.
The more COVID-19 is spread, the more likely we get a worse mutation.
@Terry Preta Gardens: Also, as a research psychologist, you need to actually read about the Milgrim experiment rather than prate about it. The book is Obedience to Authority," by Stanley Milgrim, and it is excellent. Most of it is spent trying to figure out how to keep people from obeying authority figures…you know, the way you are blindly obeying Donald Trump and other anti-science idiots.
Moment I step outside of the store the mask is off. No need to wear it outside. And it’s not just me.
Don’t like it? Too bad. Plus it’ll keep the Karens away so I can live my life in relative peace.
On my walks, in the woods, hundreds of acres of woods and hundreds of miles of trails and I see people wearing masks while they’re walking outside and no one around. Does not make any sense.
First of all, my understanding is that although vaccinations are effective in preventing the vaccinated from contracting the disease, you can still get it. However, it won’t be as severe (just like the routine annual flu shots) or as long-lasting. More importantly, you can still spread it. Masks prevent the wearer from spreading the virus, even unknowingly and offers some protection to others from contracting it. The data indicates you can still be a carrier, even if you’ve been vaccinated. But of course, to many, “personal freedom” supersedes any personal contribution to the common welfare.
Lady, you should also be afraid of getting physically injured just because you dared to suggest that he put on a mask. It’s the COVID equivalent of road rage.
“People really believed in the White House that testing was driving cases, rather than testing was a way for us to stop cases,” said Deborah Birx, who served as White House coronavirus coordinator. Birx also said that most of the virus-related deaths in the United States after the first 100,000 in the spring surge could have been prevented with a more robust response. “That’s what bothers me every day,” she said.
Maskless right wingers are disease spreaders, avoid them and never vote for the stupidly murderous.
I went into a local sandwich shop a while back where the BYU softball team was ordering. I saw their coach standing there ‘nosing’ as his ladies waited for their orders. I asked him if he taught them to cheat. After he snapped that I should probably wait outside for them to leave, he had a moment to think about it and covered properly.
Why do I not need a Covid Passport in Florida to go into a public place when I need a birth certificate to go to the bathroom in North Carolina?
I agree with Q-Anon pin-up girl Rep. Greene – it is the mark of the devil. We should not have to have a piece of paper to tell us what we can and cannot do. So I am torching my driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance.
To be consistent with the befuddled Congresswoman who can’t tell the difference between facism and communism , I should not need a piece of paper to vote either.

Maskless people don’t respond well to such suggestions.

I’d also be concerned about being beaten or shot, such a typical response of maskholes to being challenged on their antisocial and harmful behaviors.

People who refuse to take sensible precautions and scorn others who do are simply people who haven’t yet had someone THEY care about die.
