This is stupid, disgusting one of the reasons I don’t like cats. I would never hurt one but I would never have one. They have poop on their paws and then people let them crawl all over their counters, furniture and sleep with them. That’s not a comic strip but reality. Dealbreaker. Yuck!
We have a tall litter box for our old kitty like that one in our master bathroom that helps keep some of the litter contained, but those pieces that get stuck in her paws and end up on the tile floor are almost worse than little Legos when you step on them in the middle of the night.
My daughter found something that works for her cat. She put the litter box down into a big storage tub – without the lid on, of course. No more excess litter anywhere.
I have a very nice mat at the door of the room where the cat latrine is. As they walk across, it helps remove grit from their toes and keeps them from tracking it through the house.

They make a floor mat that has a bunch of holes in it that works very well in helping to control the spread of it. Can’t remember the name of the

company that makes it though. In my experience the younger and sooner you use it the better chance of the cat adapting to it.

Shedding season. The furnace filter was so clogged that it bent under the pressure.

Our cat used to track litter through the house. It depends on what kind of litter you use.
