This “gun oasis” is just another one of the things that the GOP is just going to ignore just so they don’t have to deal with the backlash, because obviously they are perfect and could never do any wrong.

It’s the exact same thing with them suppressing voters and yet complaining about the Dems wanting to make DC a state. They hate the fact that the Dems are trying to “change the landscape to their own benefit” while doing it themselves at the same time. What a meek joke!

Mass shootings are horrible, but more people die of other kinds of gun violence, including suicide.

Remember “Field of Dreams”—“If you build it they will come”? The same thing can be said of anything built for a specific purpose. So, if an assault rifle is built with no other purpose except to kill a whole lot of people in a few seconds, then “they will come” and use it to kill a whole lot of people. Every tool is meant to be used, we should not be surprised that that particular “tool” is being used … what should surprise and appall us is that those tools are still being made and put into the hands of unstable, murderous people.

At the least—at the very least, a strong background check is essential. If we carry a cell phone, the government already knows where we are!

It’s way past time to ban most guns and large clips and require serious background checks coupled with an application of why you want a gun plus at least a 30 day waiting period for proper background checks.There then needs to be a 90 day trade in for cash, for all non approved guns. After this time limit anyone caught with an illegal gun will face not less than 5 years in jail. File this as: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! Thoughtlessness and prayers to an imaginary invisible guy in the sky doesn’t really work!

I think there are some people with some messed up priorities. They focus on voting suppression instead of what matters. Go figure.

The 2nd Amendment gives criminals the right to buy guns and ammo, while giving victims the right to be murdered in “safe” public places. Only in America.

NierroIf the Democrats want equal voting, which is a very honorable and deserving cause, all they have to do is return all but the government buildings in DC to Maryland. Statehood isn’t necessary to give the DC population what it deserves. If the Democratic party gives DC statehood, and say that it is only to give the people equal voting, it will be a lie…it will be to give the Democratic party 2 guaranteed senators. It will be the Democratic party carrying out the greatest Gerrymander in our history. Pulling off something that revolting calls for the people to call the Democratic party the Repulseocrats, or the DemoKKKrats… What a wonderful thought…I won’t have anyone to vote for, anymore. I will only be able to choose between two dishonored collections of lying, hypocritical stench. Oh joy…in each election I will get to decide which Congressional Cartel is the least revolting.

Hunting rifles I can understand. I don’t understand why anyone would want an AR-15 or other Military Assault style weapon, except to kill other people.

People who say it is not the guns that kill it is the people need to deal with the fact that if 1 kid eats a tide pod we lock them up hundreds are dead from guns and we do nothing.
