I think Sharecane (sp?) is actually thinking about Kenny. It could be very confusing for Kenny, considering his birth dad doesn’t have the best reputation (of course, his adoptive dad isn’t squeaky clean either). What about asking Kenny if HE wants a relationship with his birth dad? Kenny is old enough make his wishes known. He can always change his mind later.
Maybe Shark has the same ankles I do? I could barely stand up on ice skates when I was in 5th grade. Took those suckers off and enjoyed the sodas and conversation with several other classmates that couldn’t skate either and haven’t missed ice skating once in my 46 years of life.
Do I dare start following this ‘comic’ like Colby Armstrong? Intriguing first impression here… the kind adoptive father not hogging affection, love and compassion that the real parent might need?
