P2, So yesterday Mimi was hanging around the house with Gil when she found out Madison lost to Oakwood who apparently played earlier in the afternoon while Milford was burying Valley Tech. So now, in the nightcap of Milford’s basketball doubleheader, they can take The Valley title with a win over Tilden? Even in these Covid times I’ve never heard of high school teams having to play basketball doubleheaders. And Milford is set at least 50 years before current times. As usual, this makes no sense.

P3, So, the tired Mudlarks, playing their second game of the day, blow their lead to Tilden and keep up the Milford tradition of finishing second in The Valley

So Madison was all set up to win the conference, with a one game lead with two to go. All they had to do was win one of their last two against two crappy teams and they fell apart. I wonder what drama affected their team? Probably more interesting than Milford’s. But they don’t have an inspiring PA announcer, that’s the difference.

So it appears the girls are going to win the league, unless….something related to the Tessi conflict blows it in the second half. Have the Milford girls EVER won the conference? I can’t recall it happening and seeing them in the Playdowns. If they do make it, it will be one and done.

And speaking of one and done, one more Mopped Up Thorp is done.

Vic abandoned wearing school colors for the big game. He went with his green velour sweater though, since it’s St. Patrick’s Day. We do get a nice finger point from him, Whigham’s specialty, although it’s not a huge finger for once. In the medium range today.

What’s “tidy” is Mimi playing front runner grandstanding with her rah rah speech after being hands off coaching/supervising this season. Oh wait. This is standard Thorp operating procedure. CK looks like Brent Raptor’s sister in P1.

I hope they win but big crowd/early lead rarely ends well in Milford. I predict an un-tidy slip-and-fall ahead. And, an eventual return of Marty Moon as the voice from the bleachers. Speaking of heels, who cares, all I can think on now is The Prom.
