For help on how to follow a comic title,
What a great Saturday cliffhanger. Vito from Goshen has the Frito BanBrito walking in on this scene at even money. CK is 50-1 to discover this tryst as she heads to the library to do research on which colleges offer scholarships for softball and a major in Fire Prevention. Gil and Mimi are off the board as it is, A, past Gil’s bedtime and B, Mimi is having a similar encounter with Pedro in the alley behind Milford Pool Supply.
Why not just go ahead and rename this strip CK. She is far more interesting (and snarky) than any of the Thorps.
Does anyone remember why CK was in reform school, er, I mean Valley Modified? Was it her issues with authority or did she assault somebody with a baseball bat? Either way, Mimi just might be opening a can of worms here. But why should she care, she’s just looking for CK to take over the coaching reins while she enjoys some early pool time with Pedro.
Bo Jackson, of course. He doesn’t know Diddley.
Could be a loooong season for the Lady Larks. P1: #40 is showing off her “palmball” technique she learned from Ed Whitson.
Rats! I was too late getting my bet down with Vito. Looks like it’ll be Corn flakes for dinner for a while.
I hope this puts “Debbie Does Denver” and the Frito BanBrito’s library fixation to rest and we can now get back to the Larks and their quest for second in the Valley. I’m looking forward to a week of InZane’s emergence as Gilpa’s number one starter and CK donning the tools of ignorance as well as taking over the coaching reins in softball.
You call that “heated”? Wait until he gets “blowtop” and takes it out on the Frito Burrito!
Uh-oh, all this action is causing the line to move. Again, like Vicky D., I’m late to the dance.
Looks like my bet with Vito from Goshen that the Larks will be contending for second in the Valley is in jeopardy. Maybe I’ll double down with the girl’s softball team in an effort to cut my losses. Unlike Vicky D, I’m going with CK all the way.
