Today we are very very close to 800 (just read 799). Still amazed the number of readers isn’t thousands, considering the bright past life of this strip.
micro loan. mountain grown. silent groan. I remember being a kid and falling for that comic book ad where you could make big money selling seeds or something. I learned real fast that none of my friends and neighbors needed seeds.
1) I’ll gladly pay you a dollar tomorrow for a quarter today.
2) Say when
3) Oh come on, Bozo, there are about a hundred gags in that fruit cart: grapefruits for squirting in someone’s eye, banana peels to slip on, etc. Don’t give up so easily!
3. Does anyone sells on carts like these in these days in the US of A? In me country we still has these types of sellers.
…
And yes of course another big thumbs up, big applause, and three cheers once again for the marvellous master cartoonist FoXo’s magnificent masterpiece, the most pleasant picturesque pantomime the ever entertaining ever energetic ever excellent evergreen entertainer BOZO!
These best draw best funnies, which are done with fantastic finesse and splendid skills by the tremendously talented FoXo, bring great joy and sheer cheer to me every day, no matter how the day was. BOZO is undoubtedly unparalleled and undoubtedly the most excellent epitome of a picture speaking thousand words and the form of expression through artwork alone.
Spread the word, friends, so that BOZO can spread more joy and cheer to more!
“My dad was a born cartoonist. He never held a job title other than that of “cartoonist.” It wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that he was born with a drawing pen in one hand and a bottle of India ink in the other. He liked to tell the story of how he as a 16-year-old “sat on the editor’s doorstep every day” until he was finally hired. He loved his family and his country. He supported the civil rights movement before it became fashionable. He raised eight children—six sons and two daughters—all responsible citizens, which included a Jesuit priest and a pediatrician who served as a volunteer doctor for four years in Vietnam during the war there. All sons served in the military: three in the regular U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and three in the active reserves. Bozo was carried by Stars and Stripes, the newspaper of the U.S. Armed Forces and was popular with our men and women in uniform.”
The above is an excerpt taken from my interview with GoComics, which can be found on the GoComics Blog below. Michael Reardon, producer of Bozo and son of Foxo Reardon
Bozo seems to be financially capable by being able to get a small loan. But his big heart for generosity such as giving more than two Spoonfuls of sugar for one cup of coffee is wasteful. I guess Bozo’s finances caught up with him on small business. Some people just too nice to be in sales. Bozo seems to be one of these, but he will bounce back.

I like that Foxo forswore the obvious joke in “Salesmanship”, of having hordes of people crowding around the sale.

2) SUGAR ME NOW: Man with a cup of coffee needs a little sugar. Bozo upends a barrel and pours a generous portion in!
