Didn’t they used to say in Texas “All hat and no Cattle” for someone who was all BS and – - -that’s it – - all BS.

And to make it even worse:

“Five board members of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas — the entity that manages and operates the electricity grid that covers much of Texas — will resign on Wednesday, according to a notice to the Public Utility Commission. A sixth has withdrawn his application to the board.

All six live outside of Texas."

Remember when Edison killed an elephant with AC electricity to smear Tesla?

Where is Edison now that we need him?

But, of course, the Republican leadership in Texas is not accountable at all – they’re actually the “victims”…

As a Texas consumer, I know for a fact deregulation has been a nightmare for consumers from the beginning.

Flashing on the old Godzilla movies (Black & White, bad dubbing), where Our Hero melts the power grid with his Morning Breath.

There’s a REASON regulations exist, and it is for the same reason that punishment (sometimes) fits the crime: it is to LESSEN the amount of harm that people or corporations do to society!

I’m just astounded by that weird rule about supply and demand. Can the power companies REALLY make their customers who were charged thousands of dollars pay those exorbitant prices? I’d be suing the company!

The oldest proverb (that we know of) says something or other that “Only a fool puts his physician in his will.” And, of course, most of the customers who were made to pay had their money deducted AUTOMATICALLY (which, I suppose, is slightly better than the “This is a robbery! Hands up!”) thing, but not much difference, really. So, besides being the victims of the criminals (that is to say, the Texas energy grid), they were pretty damn stupid to let the criminals have the access to AUTOMATICALLY rob them.
