For help on how to follow a comic title,
Thanks a lot, M. Night Shyamalan!
Who knows? This is supposed to be an “encore presentation”. Dramatically, this is the nadir of the hero’s story. At this point, he remembers/is reminded of his inherent virtue, self-worth, and power (“Remember . . .”), a steely glint returns to his eyes (and dramatic lighting and a nose piece for his glasses?), and he goes forth to defeat his nemesis.
I remember when I was a kid watching national news coverage of a flood that wiped out a rural community. The Correspondent asked a Random Citizen “What are you going to do now?”, to which Random Citizen replied “Well, I guess I’ll rebuild like my daddy and his daddy before him and his daddy before him”. How early is too early to have your first WTF moment?
Then she’s really gonorrhea-gret her choices
Joke I heard attributed to W. C. Fields: “Water? Never touch the stuff. Fish f*ck in it!”
I remember scary ads in the movie theater when I was a little kid warning about “pay TV”, which I assume now meant cable. The ads showed a “cable box” with glowering eyes and fangs munching away as coins went into slots on both sides.
What will it take for Drumpf’s Base to say “Enough!”?
Panel 4. Dramatic lighting, but no nose piece. I’m guessing anger is required for a nose piece.
“Frank wouldn’t ask me out, so I guess I’ll marry Roger”. Yup, THERE’S a positive lifestyle choice.
Thanks for the spoiler alert!!
