Yup, that about covers it… He didn’t force his opioid habit upon his minions, but the rest, yes indeed. Once the Fairness Doctrine was removed by Reagan, Rush had free reign.
When I heard about Rush passing, I had to share this quote. “All men have an emotion to kill; when they strongly dislike some one they involuntarily wish he was dead. I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction.” — Clarence Darrow I’m glad that Rush can’t share his poisonous hateful opinions anymore.
One can hope. But I’ll be satisfied if the pallbearers lose their bullhorns. Give everybody the dope slap option for those idiots who feel and act those ways.
Rush is a big factor for the divisivness, bigotry, and hatred being spewed today by the alt-right. He is the father of Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham, et. al. and paved the way for the election of Tea Partiers in 2010 and the former guy in 2016. Hardly a ringing eulogy.
We used to say that one of my former bosses would never die because Heaven didn’t want him and Hell was afraid that he’d try to take over. I guess Hell wasn’t afraid of Limbaugh.
This video is downright INSPIRING. It is by a Conservative who strongly supports the Constitution. He is a power figure in Arkansas and as such, as well as from being a war hero, he also has national standing. His statement takes nine minutes but is very worth hearing since he gets to the most essential points and he describes a way forward which can certainly happen elsewhere, including here.

Hey, depending on the issue I vary (liberal for social issues that increase fair opportunities like civil rights, strong education, retraining for jobs, equal work advancement; old style conservative pre-debt-approach for most fiscal issues except that I strong think that infrastructure repair and replacement programs as a modern New Deal approach could help the nation greatly now and should be done; moderate in most else). Oh, and i am an independent who votes according to things like past voting records of candidates. I do not line vote and consider it lazy.
I got this great new car, and the saleslady told me about the neat feature of the radio, where all I had to do was say what station I wanted to listen to, and it would play it for me. So I tried it and it worked! I said “oldies” and got a ’50s rock station. I said “news” and got NPR. Then some jerk cut me off in traffic and I hollered “asshole!” and immediately got Rush Limbaugh.

Rob Rogers makes the faux pas of telling the truth about someone who died!
Shocking!
I guess people who don’t want people to say bad things about them after they’re gone shouldn’t be such @-holes in life then.

Of course, like Donnie John when he passes, if they’d just given his body an enema, he could have ben buried in a matchbox.

Sung to the tune of Don McLean’s “Miss American Pie”:
“…And the two men I admire least:
‘The former guy’ and his trained Fox beast,
They talked about how they were fleeced
The day
Rush Windbag
Died.
So bye, bye, Misanthropic Old Guy
Drove me crazy – all the ways he
Made democracy cry
Them “good ol’ boys” are thinkin’ "Who else will lie
Half as good as Misanthropic Old Guy?"
